Sales Operations Manager

Job Description:

The primary focus of the Sales Operations Manager is to manage a sales operations team. The sales operations team include, but not be limited to, processing compliance and pipeline management as well as client escalations and staff development.

Sales Operations Managers lead teams of Mortgage Loan Coordinators (MLCs) and Sales Support Assistants (SAs). They manage MLC and SA capacity to ensure their teams are fully utilized and volume is distributed evenly amongst the team. The Sales Operations Manager performs pipeline reviews to ensure completion of pre and post- Initial Credit Decision tasks and Kept Informed Routines. Tasks include managing the loan process including partnering with the Sales Leader on client escalations. The Lending Operations Manager will also follow up on routine reporting to ensure their teams meet key performance metrics and will complete audits to ensure are processes and activities are compliant. They are operations and processing experts and may conduct training as needed.  

Primary Areas of Focus:

•Drive client experience and Operational Execution

•Serves as subject matter expert for operations, reporting and processes

•Coaches employees to meet bank and regulatory requirements

•Daily review of the sales pipeline to identify and address high level risks and opportunities for coaching in partnership with the Consumer Lending leadership

• Manage pipeline for the market (~$1B / ~1k loans), including driving execution across Mortgage Loan Coordinators and Wealth Management Loan Officers

•Partners with Sales Leader to support new hire development and proficiency with systems, technology, product and procedures

•Directs Mortgage Loan Coordinators and Sales Assistant alignment, productivity and daily activities 

•Integration with key centers of influence within the Home Loans Organization (Sales, Fulfillment, National Retail Credit Lending)

Required Skills:

•Minimum 3 years relevant financial industry experience, such as mortgage lending

•In-depth knowledge of mortgage product and solutions, including regulatory and product guidelines

•Experience creating a comprehensive pipeline management strategy, assessing needs, identifying client and specialist needs and executing capacity management strategy.

•Proven leadership skills including direct and indirect leadership

•A true team player and collaborator, translating knowledge and experience into strong and productive relationships internally and externally

•Results oriented with proven track record of outstanding ability to motivate and influence other to accomplish objectives: present oneself assertively, convincingly and with confidence to establish credibility and respect with others

•Excellent problem solving skills

•Must be able to provide evidence of consultative communication and relationship building skills leading to client service, fulfillment and delight in previous roles

•Dedicated, enthusiastic, driven and performance-oriented; possesses a strong work ethic

•Highly motivated self-starter, proactive, with intense focus on results. Conveys a sense of urgency to achieve business goals and exceed expectations

Desired Skills:

•Knowledge of banking (credit and deposit) products and services

•Prior experience working in Underwriting/Fulfillment

•Prior Sales Management experience
