Job Title: Delivery Lead – Technology

Overview of the Team:

The GMOT team provides Collateral, Banking, and Treasury Technology to global users in Collateral and GWIM Operations, Brazil and Turkey users. This role is part of our small infrastructure team comprising 4 people. It’s part of our London team of Developers, PM/BAs. The team is friendly, with a ‘can-do’ attitude. We are part of the Global GMOT Collateral team with colleagues in Singapore, New Jersey, Chicago and India. We are looking for someone to lead the infrastructure team. The role is hands-on. There are many opportunities for efficiencies within our infrastructure environment and we expect the person that takes this role to be pro-active in looking at these; for example implementing tools to aid support, consolidating servers, hosting options – e.g. containerisation and the move away from multiple servers.

Core Skills:

  • Team management experience and ability to direct more junior team members.
  • Strong Understanding of MS Active Directory and security policy
  • MCSA for Windows Server technology desirable
  • Experience working with Windows server 2008, 2012 & 2016
  • Proficient in the design and implementation of Server and Network architecture
  • Basic SQL skills
  • Powershell
  • Ability to produce clear technical specifications, training and operational guides
  • Experience of Release Management, Issue Tracking and Defect Management tools
  • Knowledge of system monitoring and capacity management
  • ITIL knowledge
  • Project Management / Service Delivery management experience
  • PRINCE 2 Foundation & Practitioner with Agile desirable
  • Experience in Financial Services or a large corporate organisation is desirable
  • Familiarity with Business Contingency operations
  • Knowledge of the configuration and maintenance of replication systems such as Repliweb
  • A working knowledge of current Network technologies
  • Understanding of basic firewall rules
  • Excellent analytical\problem solving skills and attention to detail
  • Ability to work weekends (in rotation with other team members)/Bank Holidays and participate in on-call rota.
