Risk Analysis Senior Manager

Job Description:

The Risk Rating Group (RRG) provides enterprise oversight of the commercial risk rating process end to end. RRG is a key contributor to the development and improvement of the risk rating scorecard models used in the Bank's commercial credit businesses.

The Risk Analysis Senior Manager plays a key risk management role for commercial credit exposure within multiple lines of business. The SME coordinates risk rating scorecard designs and enhancements, engaging with the FLU, Risk Management, Global Risk Analytics (GRA), and other subject matter experts to lead scorecard designs and develop scorecards that accurately predict default. In addition to development work, the SME coordinates model governance activities, including tollgate and executive committee approvals, and supports GRA and Model Risk Management during model validation. The SME also provides subject matter expertise for implementation activities, including communication, training, and scorecard guidance.

Additionally, the Risk Manager manages a portfolio of risk rating scorecards and partners with the FLUs to ensure that the end-to-end risk rating process operates efficiently. The SME is responsible for maintaining a working knowledge of assigned Risk Rating Scorecards and an understanding of the FLU's underwriting, monitoring, and risk management processes. He or she will work closely with FLU and Risk Management partners to resolve any issues that arise in the risk rating process. The SME also regularly monitors scorecard performance through review of back testing results, scorecard user feedback, override trends, Credit Review/Audit reports, and ongoing dialogue with FLU management teams.

Required:
-5+ years of experience with Commercial credit experience in Wholesale Credit, Risk Management, or Credit Review 
-Working knowledge of BAC risk rating process
-Experience leading and influencing business partners and senior management 
-Excellent written and verbal communication skills
-Understanding of credit risk from a scorecard approach or through traditional credit risk assessment 
-Ability to analyze problems and identify both tactical and strategic solutions to address
-Demonstrates intellectual curiosity and is a self-starter
-Must possess strong PowerPoint, Word and Excel skills
Desired:
-Experience in project management or process improvement 
-Able to navigate the enterprise / information across multiple functions
