Here in our Dublin/Frankfurt/Paris/Bromley/Chester/Camberley offices we are looking to recruit for a Global Financial Crimes Manager to join our Global Financial Crimes team.

The Global Financial Crimes Manager executes substantive money laundering, economic sanctions, fraud, compliance and operational risk practices relevant to the merchant acquiring and wider payments business in Bank of America Europe and BANA London. The Global Financial Crimes Manager is accountable for the requirements of the Global Compliance and Financial Crimes Enterprise Policies, Compliance Operational Risk Management Programme (“CORM Program”), the Global Compliance Enterprise Policy (“GC Policy”), the Operational Risk Management – Enterprise Policy (“ORM Policy”) and the Enterprise Fraud Risk Management Policy and works directly or through compliance officers for the Front Line Units (“FLUs”) and Control Functions (“CFs”) to complete those requirements, engaging in the following activities: 

Responsibilities:
o    Create and maintain a regulatory inventory.
o    Communicate regulatory changes to, and engage, the FLU/CF through the compliance and operational risk officers in assessing impacts of merchant acquiring and payments related regulatory changes for financial crimes, compliance and operational risk.
o    Update relevant policies to ensure they reflect merchant acquiring and payments related regulatory requirements for financial crimes, compliance and operational risk.
o    Conduct merchant acquiring and payments related financial crimes, compliance and operational risk assessments, scenario analyses and operational loss analyses.
o    Contribute to monitoring and testing coverage plans and related metrics.
o    Monitor and test the effectiveness of the Front Line Unit (“FLU”) and Control Function (“CF”) financial crimes, compliance and operational risk controls.
o    Execute governance and management routines.
o    Identify, aggregate, report and escalate financial crimes, compliance and operational risks, issues and control enhancements.
o    Identify merchant acquiring and payments related financial crimes, compliance and operational risk training needs and monitor FLU, CF and third party completion.
o    Assist with preparation for, and participate in, merchant acquiring and payments related financial crimes, compliance and operational risk related regulatory exams and audits.
o    Escalate financial crimes, compliance and operational risk concerns to the Regional Financial Crimes Executive(s) or the Regional Compliance and Operational Risk Executive(s).

Core Skills:

  • o    Strong proficiency with Outlook, Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
    o    International business experience a plus.
    o    A high level of understanding in risk and compliance to include regulatory impacts to a business.
    o    Merchant acquiring industry or payments industry expertise.
    o    Ability to develop rapport easily with executives, peers and partners - Solid executive presence.
    o    Proactive; Self-starter.
    o    Ability to adapt well to change or changing priorities based on the needs of the business.
    o    Effective time management and prioritising skills.
    o    Strong written and oral communication skills
