Ops Analyst MKTS - Equity/Fixed Income Allocations - Charlotte, NC

Job Description:

The position is responsible for providing superior customer service for both the underlying customer base and sales force, in support of  Bank of America’s  global business strategies. Responsibilities include timely and accurate allocation and confirmation of global equities, mortgaged backed securities, treasuries, corporate bonds, commercial paper and municipals. The associate will need to establish a strong working partnership with the customer base and sales force, supporting strategic initiatives to increase same day allocation and STP rates. It is critical that the associate be detail oriented in monitoring and controlling exposure to the bank and our clients.

Enterprise Role Overview: Follows established written procedures and guidelines, provides standard reporting and analytical support. Uses established techniques, analyzes and resolves a wide variety of moderately complex operations problems and initiatives including transactions that require special handling and/or exception handling. Employees in this role typically have a college degree (Associates or higher) or comparable work experience. Required skills include: basic Excel knowledge, detail orientation, ability to manage multiple priorities and multi task, excellent time management and prioritization skills, ability to meet tight deadlines, ability and willingness to continuously learn on the job , ability to problem-solve and take ownership of process improvements, ability to work in a team environment, excellent verbal and written communication skills with ability to communicate with various stakeholders. Desired skills for this role include: expert Excel knowledge, Business, Finance, Accounting, Economics, or similar major preferred and basic understanding of and/or experience in Financial service industry. Required Skills:

  • Minimum of 1+ years of financial services experience
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills with emphasis on establishing and maintaining quality control procedures
  • Effectively liaise with external and internal parties, clients and colleagues
  • Strong attention to detail

Desired Skills:

  • Bachelor's degree
  • Advanced Excel knowledge (macros, pivot tables, vlookup, etc.)
