Job Title: Manager - BofA Europe and Ireland Legal Entity Finance Support

An opportunity has become available in the Dublin office for a Manager - BofA Europe and Ireland Legal Entity Finance Support to join the wider CFO Group. The Manager will work very closely with the teams who deliver the bank wide Recovery & Resolution Plan and entity specific ICAAP, ILAAP and ECB Stress Tests. This work will include ensuring that the Finance aspects of these processes are appropriately documented and support the required governance processes.

The individual in this role will establish and maintain an effective control environment within CFO, ensuring consistent quality of activities, processes and outputs.  This will include working other CFO management to ensure that control risks are supported by Self-Identified Audit Issues (SIAIs) as required, and the resulting action plans for such SIAIs are followed to completion within the required timeframes. The Manager for BofA Europe and Ireland Legal Entity Finance Support will also assist the BofA Europe CFO and the BofA Europe Controller in all aspects of financial governance and control for the Head Office and European branches.

Due to its high profile nature, demonstrating success in this role will lead to opportunities to organise and drive a broad range of CFO strategic initiatives as they arise.

Responsibilities:

  • Ensure that Relevant internal controls have been established and are working correctly

  • Ensuring appropriate management information is in place at relevant levels and clear escalation requirements are in place and are understood

  • Matters needing attention are followed up by the appropriate person and that necessary action is taken promptly and duties are appropriately segregated

  • Submitting to management appropriate management information highlighting relevant issues with appropriate frequency and any other reports requested

  • Reporting verbally and/or via written reports to relevant committees, boards, working groups and other such forum on matters required by the by-laws or otherwise as requested or required in the normal operation of these bodies and forum

  • Engaging in the production of statutory and regulatory reporting requirements relating to Recovery and Resolution, ICAAP, ILAAP and ECB Stress Test:

  • Represent the BofA Europe CFO group in global cross functional forums on forecasting and stress testing

  • Prepare briefing material for senior stakeholders to facilitate effective decision making or presentation to external bodies as required

  • Evidencing the review and challenge process to provide an audit trail

  • Leading and reinforcing the firms culture and high standards of conduct & compliance with obligations of Fitness and Probity under the CBI and European requirements

Qualifications:

  • A graduate degree in accounting, finance or business

  • Significant finance/management accounting experience gained within a regulated financial services institution, preferably within a global investment bank (and ideally significant product control experience)

  • Qualified accountants (ACA, CIMA, ACCA, or equivalent) will be preferred for this role

  • Fluency in English is essential, ability to speak or write other European languages is advantageous

Skills:

  • Confident verbal and written communications skills

  • Proficient in Microsoft Word and Excel

  • Ability to organise cross functional groups together in a structured manner to achieve management objectives

Competencies:

  • Effective Finance Change Manager

  • Able to demonstrate ability to prioritise effectively and multi task

  • Track record of delivery

  • Demonstrable accounting knowledge
