Role Description:

Bank of America Merrill Lynch Dublin has an exciting permanent opportunity available for a talented individual as an Ops Professional MKTS in Global Markets Core Operations. Based in Central Park, Dublin 18, the purpose of this role is to ensure that we provide efficient trade settlement and operational support for our trading desks and clients. The successful applicant must ensure a high level of client service is provided by the team to both internal and external clients, whilst complying with internal procedures, controls and regulatory requirements.

The Team:

EMEA Equity Settlements is within Securities Operations and is 22 associates in total. Within the team it is further divided into smaller groups covering different markets.

All learning is provided on the job with reference to established desktop procedures. Given the varied nature of the markets different processing is required for each and associates will have the opportunity to learn multiple markets. The team meets daily to allow updates and for all associates to contribute to the period ahead. 

We have an excellent track record of internal progression for high performing associates, moving through analyst to senior analyst and Ops Professional. There is also plenty of opportunity to get involved in projects ranging from quick wins/process improvements to more larger scale e.g. industry changes.

Responsibilities:

  • Senior team member responsible for providing EMEA Equity settlements and operational support, working closely with colleagues based in Dublin and India
  • Escalation point of potential risk and exposure items and ensure that any risk is escalated further if appropriate
  • Assisting in and running leadership protocols for the team
  • Input into strategic work and leading projects to lead the team through these changes
  • Ensure timely and efficient processing of transactions across the team on behalf of clients and the trading desks
  • Employ networking skills to manage your relationships with clients, the trading desks, settlement agents, registrars, relationship managers, middle office representatives and information sources
  • Excellent organisational skills are required with the ability to prioritise workload across the team
  • Identification and implementation of process improvements
  • Development of established procedures to include any changes to the processes

  • Ability to multi-task effectively, work well under pressure and meet tight and changing deadlines
