Home Equity Strategy Analyst IV

Job Description:

This individual will engage in the development of Credit Strategies and provide input to analytical business casing and track actual performance versus expectations for key Home Equity initiatives.  There will be strategy ownership and these strategies will align with the Risk Control Framework and demonstrate responsible lending practices while also supporting Bank of America's responsible growth initiatives.  This individual may also participate in broader Projects or Issue Remediation work which delivers capabilities, controls and efficient solutions to current business problems. 

In order to be successful in this role, the qualified candidate will need to possess strong analytical, and presentation skills, be able to articulate a position and collaborate effectively across the Credit Strategy Team and with numerous partner groups and constituents in order to negotiate optimal solutions.  A thorough understanding of Consumer Lending as it relates to and new account origination, existing account management, associated controls and making risk & reward tradeoffs will be critical.  Lastly, in addition to Home Loans efforts, this individual may also participate in the broader Target State / Cross LOB Horizontal work where they would represent Credit Strategies and pursue specific opportunities as it relates to that end to end view of a Client across Consumer Lending.

This position requires being the subject matter expert on multiple business-related and technical-related topics and an ability to independently drive strategic improvements.

Communicates business trends, creates financial assessments and interprets credit risk analytics for management. Proven experience at developing technical skills of their team. Sound knowledge of computer programing required

(SQL preferred).  Knowledge of financial statements and business processes preferred. 5+ years Strategic Analysis experience preferred

• Superior organization and attention to detail

• Experience with large relational databases( like, Unix and Teradata)

• Detailed knowledge and expertise with computer programing (such as SQL, Python, Java  or C#)

• Advanced PC Skills, Word, PowerPoint, and Excel

• Bachelors degree in related field or sufficient work experience

Desired Skills:

• 5 - 10 years’ experience in Credit / Lending or related discipline

• Credit or Underwriting experience in the Consumer Real Estate space

• Ability to manage multiple projects in a deadline-driven environment with mod erate to low manager involvement

• Experience in credit risk management, problem solving, and analysis

• Proficient in SQL and or SAS

• Knowledge of the Bank's current Consumer Real Estate data (BMH) and/or fulfillment platforms
