Assistant Vice President / Vice President, Finance Technology Scrum Master, Risk & Finance Technology

Job Description:

Your background

  • 7+ years as scrum master or project manager in technology projects
  • Bank and capital markets experience
  • Finance systems or operations systems experience
  • Excellent interpersonal, presentation, verbal and written communication skills and the ability to interact professionally with a diverse group, executives, managers, and subject matter experts
  • Experience in vendor management and the related skills of budget control and contract management
  • Proven project management and leadership capabilities
  • Good negotiating skills, for overall work agreements, and for day-to-day issues
  • Problem-solving skills and the ability to engage others in the process
  • A bachelor degree  in technical or business field
  • Working knowledge/ experience in the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC)
  • Experience with regulatory reports related projects would be an advantage

What you can expect

  • Works as part of finance technology team on delivery of regulatory reporting projects. Will work under the guidance of change lead for APAC finance technology projects.

What you will do

  • Working directly with project stakeholders to understand project objectives, requirements and approach for APAC finance regulatory reporting projects.
  • Work with PMO and ensure project governance is executed in accordance to the banks policy including release management and go-live deliverables.
  • Create and maintain various project artefacts such as project plans, risk and issues logs, change requests, financials, status updates etc.
  • Provide regular updates to management, stakeholders and PMO on project deliverables and deadlines
  • Ensure escalation for any risk, issues, change requests, milestone impacts in timely manner.
  • Execute the project under Agile with the scrum team and ensure all agile practices are followed
  • Ensure the scrum team maintain and improves the overall scrum maturity level.
  • Working with business to track any regulatory announcements and collate all regulatory information and measure its impact to the implementation and discuss options for changes required.
  • Keep stakeholders and the project team informed of relevant regulatory changes and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Work with Vendors during the project and co-ordinate efforts between business, technology and Vendors
  • Manage the relationship with the vendor including vendor on-boarding, due-diligence, risk management, quality and invoicing
  • Work as part of the regional team and communicate with peers and other project teams to ensure issues and conflicts between projects are debated and resolved.
