Data Scientist/Data Modeler, CTI - Never Down

Job Description:

The Data Scientist/Data Modeler is a member of the Never Down Team and supports projects and enterprise data analysis and is part of the AI governance initiative to ensure responsible AI/ML use in the bank

Responsibilities include:

  • Supporting Never Down projects and enterprise data analysis 
  • Developing, enhancing, testing, supporting, maintaining, and debugging software applications that support business units or support functions
  • Involved in setting up and maintaining the Machine Learning (ML) platform on bank’s internal infrastructure as PaaS (Platform as a Service)
  • Selecting Best of Breed Machine Learning solution and Artificial Intelligence (AI) vendors using an objective vendor evaluation
  • Developing tailor made Machine Learning solutions to different uses cases inside TI and across the bank
  • Designing and executing Proof of Concepts related to machine Learning
  • Implementing Machine Learning techniques on business data including data analysis and build prediction.

Required Job Skills:

  • 3+ years of python coding.
  • 3+ years working on Scikit-Learn and Deep Learning (Tensorflow or DeepLearning4j)
  • 3+ years of using Jupyter/Eclipse/Spyder IDE
  • 3+ years of working on Linux environments
  • 3+ years of using  SCM – GIT/SVN for code management
  • Experience with Bash scripting
  • Experience with Data preparation and Analysis for building Models
  • Experience Translating Business cases to Working Machine Learning Models
  • Familiarity with different Machine Learning Algorithms and its applications
  • Good Database skills with SQL/NoSQL commands and queries
  • Good communication and articulation skills with verbal and emails
  • Must be a team player and proactive in helping other teammates to achieve the team deliverables
  • Ability to work occasional overtime during install and release weekends

Position Summary

Responsible for enabling analysis, modeling, and optimization through producing information products. Involved in the research and development efforts. Primary requirement is not related to traditional programming or systems analysis skills, but to the ability to support the creation of sophisticated, value-added analytic systems that support revenue generation, risk management, operational efficiency, regulatory compliance, portfolio management, and research. These systems must overcome issues of complex data (e.g., VLDB, multi-structured, "big data", etc.) as well as deployment of advanced techniques (e.g., machine learning, text mining, statistical analysis, etc.) to deliver insights. This role often possesses a degree in hard science or another heavy quantitative business or social discipline. Able to work independently or in a team on complex projects.
