Senior Financial Analyst – Card & Small Business Lending Reporting, Forecasting and Analysis

Job Description:

The Card & Small Business Lending Reporting, Forecasting and Analysis Team is part of the Consumer/GWIM CFO organization.  The primary focus of our team is providing centralized finance support to the Consumer and GWIM lending products (US Card, GWIM Card, Small Business Card, and Non-Card Small Business Lending).  Our team engages with CFO teams and multiple corporate partners to oversee the monthly close process, metric reporting, executive reviews, financial forecasting & stress testing routines.  Our business partners include Line of Business (LOB) / Business Financial Officer (BFO) / Controllers / Enterprise Stress Testing teams / Treasury teams, among others.

This role is responsible for reporting, forecasting and analyzing Credit Card volumes and revenue drivers, including emerging customer usage trends and economic factors across a dynamic set of product offerings.  Key responsibilities include baseline forecasting, month-end close, ad hoc analytics, as well as support of EST and business control routines.  Throughout the tenure of the role the teammate will gain exposure to the Card and Small Business Lending products, but will also gain exposure to all Consumer banking products supported by the larger team.  Primary business partners include LOB and BFO, Global Financial Controls, Balance Sheet Management, Risk Analytics and the broader CFO organization.

Required Skills:

  • Bachelor's degree – Finance, Accounting, Business, Economics or MIS preferred

  • 2+ years of Finance and/or analytical experience

  • Advanced Excel, financial modeling, data structuring & analytics

  • Demonstrates strong technical, analytical and communication skills

  • Manages operational risk by building strong processes and quality control routines

Desired Skills:

  • Essbase (Smartview) and financial reporting experience

  • SQL and/or emerging technologies such as Alteryx/Tableau

  • Experience with complex financial products, including Credit Card
