Process Overview

The ADS Platform Messaging team provides Operational support to Messaging products (Kafka, EMS & RV) for all the Enterprise wide applications. The team is responsible for providing end-to-end operational support to both Production and Non-Production and to drive operational excellence and stability.

Job Description

A senior level engineer with experience in supporting the MQ, Kafka, EMS and RV and should have strong knowledge on MQ, Kafka and EMS & RV. Role involves all performing operational activities which includes administration, monitoring, troubleshooting, change requests and builds. It is an operational role for Messaging Shared Services support for all the Enterprise wide applications. The team provides Problem, Incident, Change and Request management support for the application using these platforms. In addition this team does triaging, service restoral, facilitation and co-ordination of root cause identification and permanent fix resolution. He should be able to handle all migrations and upgrades in existing environment.

Responsibilities

  • Build new MQ, Kafka, EMS & RV servers and configure
  • Should be able to do MQ, Kafka, EMS & RV patching and fix packs
  • Responsible to handle the Messaging infrastructure and break fix the issues occurred in Production and Non-Production
  • Responsible to handle Changes in the Messaging Infrastructure
  • Should be able to do all Configuration (Brokers, Topic, Producer, Consumer and Streams)
  • Should be able to create API’s
  • Should have sound knowledge on Design and implementation.
  • Should be able to work on monitoring tools
  • Should be able to do SSL upgrades and installation in prod and non-prod infrastructure
  • Should be able to provide support on MQ, Kafka messaging product
  • Should be able to analyze the root cause and follow the ways to providing the permanent fix.
  • He/ She should be familiar in handling client calls and customer issues.
  • Must have Knowledge on complex clustered Environment.
  • Good Hands on Production environment to handle issues.
  • Resolving critical issues on the fly.
  • Support application teams around messaging functionalities.
  • Excellent Communication skills both written & spoken
  • Working in shifts and exploring the process related infrastructure quickly.

Requirements

  • Education:  Bachelor/Master Degree
  • Certifications If Any : MQ, Kafka, EMS & RV
  • Experience Range : 4-6 Years

Foundational skills:

  • MQ, Kafka, EMS, RV, IIB, Unix/Linux/Windows and Scripting languages
  • Desired skills: Kafka, Scripting skills

Work Timings: 6:30AM-15:30/11:30-20:30/12:30-21:30 IST
