Senior Analyst- Charlotte, NC

Job Description:

Responsible for designing and developing complex requirements to accomplish business goals. Ensures that software is developed to meet functional, non-functional, and compliance requirements. Ensures solutions are well designed with maintainability/ease of integration and testing built-in from the outset. Possess strong proficiency in development and testing practices common to the industry, and have extensive experience of using design and architectural patterns. At this level, specializations start to form in either Architecture, Test Engineering or DevOp. Contributes to story refinement/defining requirements. Participates and guides team in estimating work necessary to realize a story/requirement through the delivery lifecycle. Performs spike/proof of concept as necessary to mitigate risk or implement new ideas. Codes solutions and unit tests to deliver a requirement/story per the defined acceptance criteria and compliance requirements. Utilizes multiple architectural components (across data, application, business) in design and development of client requirements. Assists team with resolving technical complexities involved in realizing story work. Designs/develops/modifies architecture components, application interfaces, and solution enablers while ensuring principal architecture integrity is maintained. Designs/develops/maintains automated test suites (integration, regression, performance). Sets up and develops a continuous integration/continuous delivery pipeline. Automates manual release activities. Mentors other Software Engineers and coaches team on CI-CD practices and automating tool stack. Individual contributor.

Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for capturing and refining business and/or system requirements (based on specialization)
  • Works with stakeholders to understand their needs, analyze problems, and capture their requirements, and then working closely with the Development Team to refine the requirement into specifications that can be executed by the team
  • Possess a working knowledge of the business and/or technical domain based on their specialization
  • Leverages experience and understanding of stakeholder needs to help create a solution, envisions the solution to solve a problem (manual or through software)
  • Performs Cost/Benefit Analysis to align the technology to business strategy. Gathers & catalogs functional, non-functional, and technical requirements for stakeholder requests
  • Determines the impact of modifications and enhancements on the application. Acts as the product(s) subject matter expert to support scope and requirement decisions
  • Ensures changes to the application are compliant with bank standards and policies
  • Assists users and development team with application testing and troubleshooting, and may help configure test solutions to validate functional and system needs
  • Identifies, document and troubleshoot application related problems. Documents process, procedures and workflows associated with applications
  • Leads or participate in continuous improvement efforts
  • Building expertise in creating, analyzing, and improving processes
  • Creates, maintains and presents training materials for end-users. Individual contributor

Required Skills:

  • 8+ years of applicable experience desired in the Wire Transfer organization
  • Experience with WIRES large platforms management (MTS, UPF) payments system and infrastructure
  • Experience with WIRES / Cross Border Payments / SWIFT domain payments (MT/MX messages), GPI, Payment processing, message processing
  • Working with multiple technology delivery teams while working with business, operations
  • Works with project, operations, technical, and internal interface teams to ensure standard quality practices/processes are followed
  • Demonstrated ability to own, drive and deliver on all assignments
  • Analytical nature, detail-oriented, excellent organization skills
  • Curious to dig deep in to issues and solve problems. Excellent triaging, troubleshooting, root cause analysis skills
  • Quick learner and self-starter requiring limited supervision and direction
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and oral
  • Adaptability in a fast-paced, ever-change team environment
  • Ability to work within established timelines
  • Ability to work with distributed, cross-functional teams
  • Client products and services as they relate to Wire Transfer
