FDCO Overview

The Fixed Income, Currency and Commodities (FICC) & Derivative Core Operations (FDCO) team perform end to end trade control, confirmation and settlements processes across FICC businesses and provides utility OTC derivative confirmation and settlement services for non FICC businesses.

Within FDCO, the teams provide multiple services such as FICC trade control, Foreign Exchange (FX) electronic matching and settlement, Over the Counter (OTC) derivative confirmation and settlement, and commodities operations.

Job Description

Senior Trade Control Associate (3-6 yrs experience) - The successful candidate will work closely with the Corporate Investments and Corporate Treasury trading desks to ensure accurate trade capture, substantiation and reporting. This candidate will have trade control team oversight/management and must be able to drive trade control projects and coordinate implementation across multiple platforms and groups. There will also be the opportunity to lead enterprise wide trade control initiatives to automate, simplify and improve the team processes.  The associate will also perform trade analytics to resolve trade queries and measure and control the day-to-day operating environment. The candidate will be responsible for reconciliations and event monitoring for derivatives as well as supporting FX, interest rate derivatives, and fixed income. In addition to the Front Office, the candidate will work closely with Finance, Back Office, Technology and other support partners. 

Responsibilities

Requirements

• Oversight of trade support team and daily management.
• Extensive work with data systems, databases and spreadsheets.
• Proficient in SQL and VBA; knowledge of CIDW would be a plus.
• Ability to quickly learn new applications and trade capture platforms. 
• Solid understanding of FX, fixed income, and derivative instruments. 
• Displays a high level of attention to detail. 
• Self-motivated and able to work unsupervised.
• Communicates and partners well with others to accomplish goals."

Ideal candidate will have a background in team management, supporting a trading environment, and in depth knowledge of financial instruments, preferably FX, interest rate derivatives, or fixed income securities. Strong quantitative and analytical skills, a degree in economics, finance, or business, and 3-6 years of experience are necessary.
