MS SQL Server Developer

This role is located in Plano, TX only. It is not open to telecommuting or remote arrangements.

The Production Governance and Analytics team is charged with leading multiple efforts within Consumer, Small Business & Wealth Management Technology Infrastructure (CSW TI) that govern and simplify the Information Technology Service Management (ITSM) Process across multiple interconnected CSW TI Application Production Support (APS) teams.

The candidate should have strong technical acumen and excellent communication skills to socialize and collaborate across technical/engineering teams. Working closely with development, production support, risk, and vendor management teammates, the Application Owner/Manager is accountable to manage applications in compliance with all applicable bank policies and standards and meet the objectives and Service Level Agreements (SLAs) required of the function it supports.

Primary responsibilities for this role are the following:

• Responsible for developing and delivering data solutions to accomplish technology and business goals.

• Codes design and delivery tasks associated with the integration, cleaning, transformation and control of data in operational and analytics data systems.

• Creating and maintaining the table structures and automated jobs that will process data required to meet a critical reporting needs within the group.

• Works with stakeholders, Product Owners, and Software Engineers to aid in the implementation of data requirements, performance analysis, research and troubleshooting.

• Familiar with the data engineering practices of the bank.

• Contributes to story refinement/defining requirements.

• Participates in estimating work necessary to realize a story/requirement through the delivery lifecycle.

Required Skills:

• Experienced MS SQL database developer who will be responsible for developing / maintain TSQL code

• 5+ Years’ experience as a database developer

• MSSQL Server 2014 or higher

• SSIS (SQL Server Integration Services)

• Ability to create/modify database schema, tables, indexes, etc.

• Knowledge of Indexes, cursors, triggers

• Experience working with partitioned tables and other database design patterns

• SQL code optimization, tuning with ability to work with large datasets

• Extensive knowledge of Data transformation and validation

• Design stable, reliable and effective databases

• Ability to write complex queries and query tuning and troubleshooting

• Ability to write complex stored procedures, functions as well as support/enhance existing

• Modify databases according to requests and perform tests

• Hands on experience in implement program to import/export data from various type of files and relational databases

• Developing Microsoft SSIS solution to import and export the data into relational databases, scripting, mining and enriching the data to implement the reporting solution

• Develop the solution to provide the traceability as it is processing in batch program with no human interaction

• Ensure all database programs meet company and performance requirements

• Liaise with developers to improve applications and establish best practices

• Self-motivated, goal oriented with a high degree of accountability

Excellent interpersonal and communication skills

• Source Code control like Git

• JIRA like tools for issue tracking

• Scheduler tools like Autosys for batch processing

• Complex Problem solving abilities
