Your background

  • Qualified lawyer under the laws of Australia, England, Hong Kong, the PRC, Singapore or the US.

  • A minimum of three years post qualifications experience with an international law firm or with an international financial services company working on international corporate/capital markets transactions.

  • Fluent in both English and Chinese (Mandarin) spoken and written language skills to be able to review and draft contracts.

  • A desire to learn and interest in contributing from start to finish on helping clients on headline transactions.

  • Role based in Hong Kong.

What you will do

Alongside other members of the team in Asia and globally, you will

  • assist bankers by reviewing/negotiating transaction documents;

  • engage, instruct and supervise external counsels;

  • assist in structuring and executing corporate and capital markets transactions;

  • help in developing internal guidelines, policies, procedures and standardized documentation;

  • identify and advise on regulatory developments, new products or trends in the market; and

  • interact with different internal functions and develop a relationship with internal stakeholders as a trusted partner, providing practical legal advice.
