Test Tools and Automation Manager

Job Description:

Enterprise Independent Testing (EIT) is a center of excellence that conducts independent testing throughout the year globally across the company, providing ongoing feedback to monitor (and improve) processes. EIT has established itself as the enterprise utility to test all end-to-end processes on behalf of Second Line of Defense, Frontline Units (FLUs) and Control Functions (CFs), enabling more efficient and effective testing. EIT is transforming the way testing is built and executed with digital transformation, implementing automation and leveraging cutting edge Artificial Intelligence/Natural Language Processing technologies. EIT carries a portfolio of 7000+ tests and has a global footprint employing 2,300+ testing professionals across the United States, Europe, Asia and Latin America as well as 500+ Global Business Services (GBS) associates.

The Test Tools & Automation Manager is a member of the Test Tools & Automation team and will be a Product Owner for ETU Initiatives. This role will have an exciting opportunity to work with industry leading tools and platforms (Trifacta Automation, Pega Workflow, Machine Learning and other homegrown Risk technology platforms). The Test Tools & Automation team, under the direction of the Test Tools & Automation Executive, will be responsible for:

  • Driving & managing the planning and execution of EIT’s digital and automation transformation in support of its journey to be the enterprise testing utility
  • Prepare EIT Applications and Platforms for strategic Enterprise Testing Utility initiative.
  • Enable transformation for entire business unit
  • Influence the technology roadmap, secure funding, define MVP and be responsible for delivering ETU requested features on time.
  • Ensuring consistent quality of activities, processes and outputs by establishing effective review practices across teams.

 Job responsibilities include:

  • Lead technology readiness assessment for onboarding new FLU into EIT Applications and Platform
  • Prepare list of feature enhancements needed in EIT applications to prepare for FLU test onboarding and integration, participate in Initiative planning exercise and oversee execution
  • As a product owner, work with Business Analysts, Product Managers, technology teams to drive delivery of the requirements
  • Regularly present in senior leaders meeting (Transformation, Steering Committee) and update on all things ETU Tech and tools
  • Strategic leadership on onboarding of new FLU tests and connect with peer leaders for automation opportunity
  • Strong partnership with other product and process owners across EIT and influence their roadmap
  • Providing leadership direction to attract, assess, develop, motivate and retain a team
     

Required and Desired Candidate Qualifications

  • Minimum of 7-10 years’ work experience driving business and technology transformation
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science/ Engineering, Information Technology, Information Science or other related area
  • Team management experience
  • Exceptional influence skills – demonstrated ability to create follower-ship, orchestrate and motivate teams, lead without formal (line) authority
  • Adapts to changes in priorities with ease, comfortable working “in the gray” while defining the way forward.
  • Ability to deliver complex information in a clear, concise way, ensuring the organization makes rapid and informed decisions.
  • Talented facilitator who skillfully leads conflict and issue resolution
  • Self-driven leader who actively works to remove barriers to achieving results
  • Effective interpersonal, communication, negotiation and collaboration skills.
  • Executive presence: ability to drive change and talk to all levels ( CEO 2 Down)
  • Prior experience with Agile and product owner/ lead roles and responsibilities
  • Analytical mindset, interest in problem solving
  • Proficient with Excel, PowerPoint and SharePoint

Desired Skills:

  • Master’s degree in Computer Science/ Engineering, Information Technology, Information Science or other related area
  • Experience / knowledge of Enterprise Independent Testing function a plus
