Immigration Center of Excellence - Global Mobility Service Delivery Consultant II

Job Description:

Global Mobility is a specialist function within Global Human Resources (GHR). The Global Mobility team manages the bank’s international assignments, permanent transfers and Frequent Business Travelers globally, US domestic relocations, and operates the Immigration Center of Excellence. It owns the global mobility programs, the relocation, tax and immigration vendor relationships and, the systems and processes related to the bank’s mobile population in 40+ locations with 700+ moves annually.  With presence in New York, Charlotte, London, Singapore and Hong Kong, the Global Mobility team engages with several HR business partners, Finance, Corporate Tax and Global Talent Acquisition functions to ensure operational excellence and support to the bank’s mobile employees and local visa holders.

Global Mobility is looking for a dedicated resource to support the Immigration Center of Excellence (ICOE).

Key responsibilities include but not limited to:

  • Support the US visa and green card population including advisory support to bank stakeholders (HR Managers, Talent Acquisition, employees), engaging with the bank’s immigration vendor
  • Manage compliance activities for US based visa holders including approvals for renewals, green cards and visa amendments, and engages with GM Operations to initiate services as needed
  • Manage timelines, communications, analysis and implementation for US and global immigration projects such as H-1B lottery, structured organizational changes, acquisition/divestiture activity
  • Develop analytics in support of program trends and support efforts to streamline and simplify immigration reporting
  • Support for ad-hoc stakeholder postings and employee communications, including data analysis and drafting presentation materials
  • Proactively suggest and manage improvements to US and global immigration processes including automation and digitalization as well as maintaining process documentation inventory and training material
  • Update global visa guidelines with immigration vendor
  • governance of global immigration compliance activities including immigration calendar ownership

Enterprise Role Overview

Individual Contributor who works on the successful partnership and lead of design, delivery, financial management, communication and/or administration of complex, corporate-Wide HR product(s)/program(s) that may include Compensation, LD, Learning, Payroll, Shared Services or Staffing. May work closely with external vendors. Independently evaluates existing product or program cost, effectiveness and usage, and designs recommended improvements. Has extensive, in-depth knowledge of product functions and can operate independently in handling transactions. Strong client relationship skills used to control and coordinate all aspects of a transaction.

Required Skills

  • Approximately 7-10+ years of experience in Global Mobility specifically with US immigration; experience in the financial services industry and exposure to global immigration a preferred
  • Demonstrated analytical and research skills - ability to communicate and analyze multi-dimensional data, draw conclusions, and evaluate business gaps & requirements
  • Strong project management skills, including the ability to prioritize work and meet deadlines
  • Excellent communication skills both verbal and written; ability to articulate complex concepts to a non-specialist audience
  • A team player who thinks and acts cross-functions
  • A problem solver with a “can do” attitude, consultative approach and client service mentality
  • Highly organized and numerate
  • Proactive and focused on continuous improvement
  • International experience; accustomed to work in a global team across time zones
  • Acts with a sense of urgency and drives issues through completion with a positive attitude
  • Attention to detail with strong analytical capabilities
  • Proficiency with Microsoft office products (Outlook, Excel, Power Point)
  • Bachelors’ Degree; will consider strong experience in lieu of degree
