Exams and Audit Manager (Business Control Manager)

Job Description:

Individual contributor on the Complaints Audit and Exam Management team within GCOR Enterprise Complaints.; The Complaints Audits and Exams Manager is responsible for coordinating regulatory and audit engagements which relate to enterprise complaints program. Key responsibilities include: notifying impacted parties of an exam or audit; identifying key stakeholders; managing in-flight exams through the coordination of requested documentation, follow-up requests and initial/potential findings, drafting responses on complaints program, reviewing front-line-unit responses for enterprise complaints impacts and accuracy, socializing and obtaining necessary approvals for content reviews; and maintaining an inventory of current, forecasted and completed audits / exams. Provide analytical and administrative support in executing internal control discipline and operational excellence.

• 7+ years’ experience working with regulators, audit, compliance and risk management operating partners
• Demonstrated ability to think strategically and execute tactically
• Performs activities with an intellectual curiosity to identify emerging risks and issues
• Ability to build relationships and work across all Front Line Units and operating partners across the enterprise
• Ability to manage multiple work efforts simultaneously under tight timelines, works with a sense of urgency
• Strong presentation skills with ability to lead meetings, develop and convey a point of view
• Detail-oriented to ensure quality and accurate work product with keen ability to roll up for executive messaging
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills to clearly convey complex concepts and information
• Ability to navigate in a highly-matrix environment and proven ability to distil complex information into key messages
• Ability to initiate and engage with all levels of the organization
• Strong proficiency with MS Office - Excel, PowerPoint, Visio, and SharePoint
• Exceptional analytical and critical thinking abilities
• Highly organized and able to track multiple deliverables
• Knowledge of risk management/risk framework; ability to identify, escalate, and debate risk
