Job Title: Transaction Reporting Analyst

Here in our Chester office, we are recruiting for a Transaction Reporting Analyst to join our Submission Control function – within Transaction Reporting Operations.

Responsibilities will include but not limited to:

  • Undertake problem solving and project management activities that impact all of the firm’s key business lines and products

  • Work with various business partners cross-region, including Front Office and Technology.

  • Manage your own career through involvement in a variety of projects and initiatives where you will be given full ownership to deliver successful outcomes

  • Follow established written procedures and guidelines, provides standard reporting and analytical support.

  • Use established techniques, analyzes and resolves a wide variety of moderately complex operations problems and initiatives including transactions that require special handling and/or exception handling

    The Team:

The department is responsible for ensuring the completeness, accuracy and timeliness of the banks transaction reporting requirements. Information passed to the regulators is designed to enhance transparency, reduce risk to ensure financial stability and prevent market abuse. The global team, which is based in the UK, US and India, covers 30+ transaction reporting obligations (e.g. EMIR, MiFID).

TR Ops People Agenda: This is a group of volunteers which comprises of associates from all of the above teams who are split into 4 sub-groups: Learning & development, Engagement, Diversity & Inclusion and Mobility & Retention. The objective of these groups is to ensure easy access to resources, provide opportunities to engage outside of BAU activities, create an inclusive environment and to aid job satisfaction. Through these representatives you will have access to various resources to aid your career development and ensure this is a great place to work.


Core Skills:

Project Management & Analytical Tools:

  • Basic project management skills and experience in managing small projects and initiatives.

  • Ability to conduct meaningful analysis on large data sets.

  • Experience in producing and providing commentary on MI.

  • Proficient in MS Office, including Excel and PowerPoint.

Industry Experience:

  • Familiarity with key products covered by regulatory reporting obligations (FX, Credit, Rates, Equities, Futures & Options).

  • Experience in managing cross-functional stakeholders at varying levels of seniority.

Regulatory Background (Nice to have):

  • Exhibits an understanding of the regulatory trade and transaction reporting landscape.

  • Is familiar with key regulations that require transaction reporting.
