Con Prod Strat Analyst III

Job Description:

The selected candidate will be a critical part of the team responsible for end-to-end execution of Merchant Services Credit and Transaction Risk Monitoring strategies.  This individual will be the subject matter expert on strategy, systems and data topics and will partner closely with others across the organization to drive enhancements and introduce new functionality.  Key responsibilities include PowerCurve strategy coding, SAS/SQL programming and ownership of strategy testing activities and protocols.

To be successful, this associate must have the ability to cultivate strong working relationships with business partners- both internal and external, to develop comprehensive designs and execute implementation plans.  Doing so will require strong listening, analytical and influencing skills.  Responsibility and accountability- both personal accountability and the leadership skills to hold others accountable, will be critical for success.  The candidate must demonstrate attention to detail, self-motivation and strong technical and analytical tool-sets.

Required Skills

  • Proven technical ability as demonstrated through 3+ years related work experience
  • Experience working with the PowerCurve decision engine
  • Experience using database software and analytical/reporting tools, such as Python, SAS, SQL, DB2, Tableau
  • Highly skilled in MS Office applications (Excel, PowerPoint, and Word)
  • Strong working knowledge of the process and tools used for development, validation, implementation and documentation of credit risk and/or fraud business strategies and scoring toolkits
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to work independently as a self-starter
  • Must be decisive and client focused
  • Must be creative, strategic, and a thoughtful risk-taker

    Desired Skills

  • 2+ years’ experience with Merchant Services, Consumer Lending, Commercial or Small Business analytics
  • Previous credit or fraud strategy experience and knowledge of policies for consumer and/or small business lending
  • Direct experience using automated decision engines to drive strategy execution
  • Bachelor’s degree in Economics, Business Administration, Statistics, Engineering or related field
  • Analytic work experience in support of consumer or small business lending involving the use of credit bureau information
  • Merchant Services industry knowledge
  • Transaction Risk Monitoring or Fraud experience
