Process Overview*

The FAKC (Finance and Accounting Knowledge Center) was set up in 2007 as a part of the CFO Global Delivery strategy to provide offshore delivery to Line of Business and Enterprise Finance functions. The capabilities hosted include Accounts Payable, General Accounting & Reconciliations, Management Reporting & Analysis, Research & Analytics, Financial Transaction Processing, Finance Systems Support and Supply Chain Management.

Over the years, the scope of FAKC has been expanded to include operations for other enterprise control functions like Human Resources and Risk and Compliance.

Consumer Cards CFO reporting process involves management reporting, research and analysis across various stages of card lifecycle (marketing – acquisition & engagement, retention, credit & risk etc.). Team works on various reporting needs that helps the CFO group analyze and address key challenges to the profitability and adjust their forecasts accordingly. The analytics team provides deep dive analysis by deploying analytics and data mining tools utilizing SAS, SQL, SQL Server database, SharePoint development and VBA for credit card P&L.

Job Description*

Individual will be a contributing member of the FAKC Consumer and GWIM Finance. He/ she will support the US Cards Finance team. The person is expected to deliver on complex and time critical testing/documentation requests for finance tools catering to credit card consumer and small business domain. It is also expected that the person comprehend & evaluate the strategic business drivers and can bring in efficiencies through automation of existing capabilities.

Responsibilities*

Understand clients’ requirements and translate those into deliverables.

2. Co-ordinate with the business to resolve process bottlenecks at different levels.

3. Support the business on periodic and adhoc projects related to multiple in house developed tools.

4. Prepare and Organize the documentation around Finance tools and SharePoint

5. Be a key contributor to business initiatives that require subject matter expertise

6. Make & deliver presentations on the detailed testing (Tools)

7. Support/mentor resources working on complex requests.

8. Ownership and ensuring quick resolution of any issues

Requirements*

Education*

  • Masters/Bachelors Degree in Information Technology/Computer Science with 3-4 years of  relevant work experience, preferably in the of the credit card business
  • Certifications If Any
  • Testing, Agile, Documentation

Experience Range*

  • 3-4 years

Foundational skills*

  • Strong in Testing and documentation in Agile environment
  • Strong business problem solving skills, and ability to deliver on complex projects independently
  • Ability to guide and mentor junior analysts
  • Finance domain knowledge esp. Credit card will be added advantage
  • Experience working in dynamic/changing environment
  • Excellent oral & written communication and presentation skill
