Job Title: Third Party Info Security Consultant

Overview of the Role:

Here in our Chester office we are looking to recruit for a Third Party Information Security Consultant within Global Information Security team. The role will be responsible for oversight of third party security programs, including assessing third party security programs and maximizing protection for all aspects of security for the third party landscape.

Responsibilities:

•             Performing reviews and closure of security and compliance gaps (issues/findings) identified and reported as a result of Bank of America Third Party Information Security assessments

•             Establishing, building and maintaining positive internal relationships with Enterprise Vendor Managers, Third Party Portfolio Executives and Business Information Security Officers (BISOs) and externally with information security officers at the Bank’s third parties

•             Identifying and escalating changes that may affect third party information security policies, standards, and procedures that do not meet Bank of America requirements

•             Understanding and maintaining current knowledge about the latest techniques and motivations of information security threats

•             Assisting management and other Lines of Businesses in the review and governance and reporting of outstanding issues requiring extended remediation, risk acceptance or priority risk downgrade

Core Skills:

  • Current CISSP or CISA certification
  • Extensive experience in an information technology, security audit or information security or risk assessment role
  • Excellent organizational and analytical skills
  • High level of meeting facilitation skills
  • Thorough attention to detail
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to work independently with minimum oversight as well as part of a team
  • Ability to translate technical concepts into non-technical language that business partners and third parties can understand
  • Ability to present findings to senior management and executives both internal and external to Bank of America
  • Motivated and willing to learn
