Job Description:

Position Summary

  • The Core Customer Data Platforms (CCDP) team is responsible for development and management of the core customer/client data platforms for Consumer, Small Business and Wealth Management lines of business.  The data platforms are comprised of all regulatory and contact data for customers/clients as well as their preferences on how to use that information, and are used by all channel applications that are customer/client facing and associate facing.  Supports operational systems for offers, insights, Voices, Erica, real time events, referrals, appointments, and campaigns.
  • CCDP is looking for seasoned hands on Senior Architect to work closely with CCDP architecture team, enterprise architecture teams, development teams, and Product teams to define the strategy and roadmap to deliver our next generation platforms.
  • Key responsibilities include understanding the business requirements, analyzing the current state, and driving the effort to define a the future state and roadmap for implementation.  Will also assist with end-to-end solution design, define non-functional requirements/architectural approach to support new epics/features to expand into new opportunities.  This role ensures the strategy is well defined and understood across the team, and assists in getting efforts funded

Required Skills

  • Lead the definition of architecture strategy for core customer data platforms, ensures it is flexible, modular, and meets enterprise requirements for security, performance, maintainability, scalability, usability, and reliability.
  • Collaborate with business and technology organizations to align technology strategy to business strategy and help define architecture that modernize our technology, optimize business processes, and enable the business to compete in the evolving emerging environment
  • Lead buy/build assessments and cost benefit analysis and derives effective decision making
  • Builds alliances with both internal and external stakeholders to gain support and buy-in on ideas. Partners effectively with business stakeholders and leverages industry knowledge.
  • Facilitates solution driven discussions, leads the design for simplification of complex architectures, and finds creative solutions through practical experiments and POCs
  • Works with Product Owners to define roadmap for the next generation platform implementation
  • Support the Principal Engineer as needed to select the technology stack required for solutions, and help select preferred technology products.
  • Lead and partner with team members to define best technology practices and standardization strategies, and to create innovative solutions.
  • Derives the organization towards best practices and technologies such as DevOps, Agile, Microservices, scalability and building reusable components
  • 15+ years in leading large scale technology architecture and strategies
  • Demonstrated expertise in defining major enterprise level architecture and modernization using multiple technologies and delivering it throughout implementation phases
  • Excellent knowledge of software development methodologies, architecture, and design patterns
  • Experiences in collaborating with onshore and offshore teams
  • Strong communication skills including ability to drive diverse group towards common goal.
  • Good analytical and communication skill. Ability to clearly articulate  both problems and proposed solutions
  • Continuous learner with good understanding of  new technology trends and ability to promote innovative solutions
  • Experience in micro-services, big data concepts, DB2/Oracle Databases, cloud technology, Java, .Net. and design patterns
  • Bachelor degree in Computer Science and Information Technology management or equivalent experience

Desired Skills

  • Masters in Computer Science and Information Technology management
  • Knowledge of Mainframe technology and distributed platforms including Unix, Java, Windows, and Cloud
