Operations Project Consultant - MVSO - Breach Operations

Job Description:

This position is within the Breach Operations team under Default Operations & Specialized Oversight. Position includes analysis of regulatory & investor requirements governing various letters, determining approach to comply, & applying approach to achieve desired outcome. Manage all aspects of projects surrounding customer facing correspondence including legislation interpretation, process development, deadline management, User Acceptance testing, data analysis, and implementation validation. Present and communicate scope, approach, project objectives and needs to Senior Management and cross-functional business partners including Legal, Risk and Compliance. Design new Regulatory or Compliance Notices to borrowers by creating data extracts, test planning and script development, letter template modification, and regression. Successfully partner with technical development teams on Waterfall and Agile projects to achieve timely and accurate improvements to systems, fulfillment, letter logic, etc. This role may also include research related to audits, exams, compliance testing, and other ongoing processes within the Breach Operations team.

Required Skills:

  • 3-5 years experience in mortgage default servicing or similar experience
  • Strong analytical, critical thinking and problem solving skills
  • Ability to work in fast paced environment with high visibility & expectations
  • Attention to detail and self-starter, with an ability to identify risks and suggest improvements
  • Ability to translate objectives into milestones and tasks, prioritize work and meet deadlines
  • Excellent communication (both verbal and written), interpersonal, and facilitation skills including presenting to leaders and financial/legal/compliance/risk partners
  • College Degree or equivalent experience
  • Proficient in use of Microsoft Office, especially Excel, Powerpoint, & Word

Responsible for medium - large projects for an operations department, product or business unit. Provides consulting expertise to line managers on productivity issues, analyzes market and operational impact in the business brought about by the project parameters. Researches and documents organizational reviews, workflow analysis, management and staff analysis. Develops project plans including estimates of cost and resources required. Defines project scope to others outside of operations that may become involved in or impacted by the project. Requires a thorough knowledge of the operations area.
