Job Description:

We are looking for a talented and motivated data analyst who will be responsible for performing complex analysis and modeling using SQL and related analytical tools for consumer products. This person will be working on cutting edge projects with the goal of digitizing, automating, and enhancing underwriting and fulfillment processes to improve client experience, minimize risk and operating losses and other financial exposure. This person will be part of a small team that develops complex models using both internal data and external data supplied by leading FinTech companies. This is a dynamic and highly complex environment with the chance to work on multiple database platforms, analytical tools, and rules engines. The position requires strong analysis, database and SQL skills, with solid communication and presentation skills a plus.

Required Skills:

  • 5-7+ years of expert level data analysis in a major relational database like SQL Server/Oracle
  • Detailed background in data integration, application connectivity, and data aggregation
  • Strong data analysis / BI skills using SQL and related tools
  • Experience using analysis tools like Query Analyzer, SAS, Toad with different data platforms
  • Experience with ETL tools
  • Experience with report writing and data visualization tools like SSRS, Tableau etc
  • Experience in database related performance tuning and query optimization
  • Good knowledge in data modeling and reporting practices

Desired Skills:

  • IT degree preferred or substantially equivalent experience
  • Excellent communication and Analytical skills
  • Able to function in a multi-tasked fast paced environment
  • Familiarity with other database environments like Hadoop, Teradata etc.
  • Experience with supporting Production Applications & Systems
  • Familiarity with Financial systems in a banking / lending environment
  • Ability to tell story and identify opportunities using data analysis
