Job Title: Equity Derivatives Documentation - Language Queries Negotiator

Here in our Chester office, an opportunity has arisen in the Fixed Income, Currency and Commodities (FICC) & Derivative Core Operations (FDCO) team. This team perform end to end trade control, confirmation and settlements processes across FICC businesses and provides utility OTC derivative confirmation and settlement services for non FICC businesses.

Within FDCO, the teams provide multiple services such as FICC trade control, Foreign Exchange (FX) electronic matching and settlement, Over the Counter (OTC) derivative confirmation and settlement, and commodities operations.

The
Equity Documentation Language team are seeking a professional individual to
review counterparty queries on legal language used in documentation for a
variety of Equity Derivatives products. Partnering with Sales, Trading, Legal,
and any other relevant internal stakeholders, the team are responsible for
resolving those issues in line with the ISDA definitions. 


 

Responsibilities will include but not limited to:

  • Resolve complex language discrepancies within a timely manner

  • Ability to adapt quickly to changes in the market, regulatory and internal business environment

  • Mitigate operational risk by demonstrating excellent attention to detail

  • Demonstrate business acumen and the ability to liaise competently with internal partners and escalate when appropriate

  • Strive to exceed all regulatory and internal target metrics

  • Communicating effectively with internal and external partners in order to build productive  working relationships

  • Capture RCA (Root Cause Analysis) data to identify process enhancements and/or improved controls

  • Work as part of a team 

Core Skills:

  • Experience working within a regulated environment - CFTC, EMIR and FED

  • Ability to work independently and to use own initiative to identify and resolve issues

  • Accept ownership of issues and ensure that they are resolved in a timely manner

  • Share any learning with teammates across the globe

  • Excellent attention to detail with high accuracy levels

  • Solid written and verbal communication skills

  • Confident personality to deal with people of different levels of seniority internally and externally

  • Experienced with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)

  • Knowledge of Equity Derivatives and relevant ISDA Definitions is preferred but not essential
