Sr Data Analyst - NFRR/CDO - B5

Job Description:

A Senior Data Analyst is responsible for ensuring data products and services are serviceable and valuable to users.  Key responsibilities include working with users and development teams to ensure the data is fit for purpose, defining and monitoring the processes and controls that adhere to EDM Standards, and helping to triage and remediate data incidents.

Summary of Responsibilities:

Support processes, risk and controls requirements and governance of Inventory and Issue Management and Reporting.  Ensure adherence with Enterprise Policy and Standards.  Assisting, maintaining and continually improving the governance framework to support reporting routines and infrastructure

A key skill be identifying opportunities to simplify and improve report and metric construction, partnering with tech partners to implement these solutions wherever possible.  Understanding and identifying issues and/or control improvements for remediation, building out action plans and milestones, and ensuring remediation aligns to strategic goals.  An ability to work in present state and navigate pathway to target state is necessary

Coordination across other NFRR Center teams, including Tech, Regulatory Interpretation, QA and others to ensure visibility into issues impacting NFRR.  Understand impacts outside of immediate team on the Center, building insight to identify gaps and execution risks and escalate as appropriate

The role will require engagement with key stakeholders (FLU/CFs, Compliance, etc.) across the global Enterprise to ensure the NFRR inventory is appropriately governed.  Planning and execution of strategic enhancements across a wide group of stakeholders.

Additional responsibilities will include trend analysis, executive escalation, and engagement with 2nd/3rd line of defense stakeholders

Required Skills:

•             3+ years of relevant experience in a governance / control role with significant impact to multiple lines of business, that may have cross-functional or inter-departmental implications

•             Strong analytical skills with ability to analyze data, create metrics and identify trends

•             Experience supporting multiple team goals simultaneously

•             Ability to assess translate multiple issues and  remediation needs into clear shifts to governance positions and guidance

•             Must be able to translate plans/policies into specific goals, tactics, action plans and deliverables and track execution

•             An Audit mindset to documentation, particularly where we are evidencing closure of risks to or gaps in governance

•             Ability to communicate clearly (written and verbal) and navigate at all levels in the organization with the detail appropriate to the forum and audience

•             Ability to effectively navigate a highly matrixed organization - influencing stakeholders without direct managerial authority

•             Ability to thrive in a changing environment – work independently and navigate ambiguity

•             Highly organized with critical thinking abilities at both the strategic and tactical levels

•             Excellent facilitation / presentation skills, experience with large groups and senior leadership

•             Strong sense of urgency

•             Executive reporting skills

•             Proficient in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Visio and MS Project)

Desired Skills:

•             Experience with regulatory efforts/risk and compliance/GBAM

•             Experience migrating processes  - transferring to new teams or taking processes on/offshore

•             Experience with regulatory or operational risk management

•             Familiarity with Enterprise Report Registry, PRC/ORCIT, RCSA process, Metrics/Key Controls an advantage but not essential
