Process Overview

Global Wholesale Banking Technology (GWBT) comprises of technology for Commercial, Corporate and Investment Banking Customers of Bank of America across the globe.  The team works closely with the business and strategic partners to architect, design and develop applications for the Global Wholesale Banking Line of Business.

Job Description

An opening exists for an experienced production support Tech Lead within Global Wholesale Banking Technology & Operations (GWBT&O) team in India. The successful candidate will be responsible to handle 20+ Applications spread across Sales and Performance L2 Production Support Team. He/She will work on and ensure that all incidents related to the supported applications are resolved in a timely manner. The Tech lead will ensure functioning of the production environment with the view to maintain stability and control

Responsibilities

This position is open for level 2 production support Tech lead role. The incumbent should have the required technical knowledge as well as production support experience to triage incidents effectively and quickly. He/She should understand the functionality as well as interfacing applications and be able to manage, train and groom a team of 6-8 resources.

  • Provide application support in accordance with standard ITIL guidelines and within the agreed SLAs.
  • Debug production issues by analyzing Logs, source code(Java), complex SQL queries & stored Procedures
  • Lead from the front high priority incident triages in any of the apps within this team.
  • Partner with L3 support/Development teams for effective problem management and permanent fixes
  • Drive automation and process improvements.
  • Willing to work in Shifts (No Night shifts), Weekends & Holidays on Rotational basis.

Requirements:

Education: Any Graduate

Exp Range:9 - 11 years

certifications if Any - NA

Foundational Skills:

  • Experience in Java / J2EE Frameworks (web services), MQ, Microservices, JBoss and/or WebLogic.
  • Hands on experience SQL and PL/SQL preferably Oracle.
  • Working experience in Unix Commands, Shell Scripts. Knowledge of any Job scheduling tool
  • Previous experience in handling production support  
  • Strong analytical skills with a natural ability to research and resolve complex systems, applications and user issues.
  • Excellent spoken and written English and clear oral communication skills

Desired Skills

  • ITSM Remedy experience
  • Experience on troubleshooting tools i.e.  Splunk and App Dynamics.
  • ITIL certification
  • Knowledge of Windows server edition

Job Description

An opening exists for an experienced production support lead within Global Wholesale Banking Technology & Operations (GWBT&O) team in India.  The successful candidate will be part of Informatica Production Support team. He/she will work on and ensure that all Job failures are addressed immediately, and batch process completes on time/within defined SLA. The resource will ensure functioning of the production environment with the view to maintain stability and control.

Responsibilities

This position is a hands-on technical role that requires the analyst to be able to support batch process in the production environment and also provide release and health-check/monitoring support. The analyst will have strong Informatica experience as well as Oracle PL/SQL and unix scripts. Should be well versed with production support experience.

  • Hands on experience with L2/L3 support
  • Provide application support in accordance with standard guidelines within the agreed SLAs.
  • Debug and identify production issues by analyzing code, complex SQL queries & stored Procedures
  • Participate in high priority incident triage calls which may include but not limited to DB server issues, application server issues and network issues
  • Partnering with Dev teams to resolve issues and drive problem management
  • Monitor performance trends, system stability and trigger preventive actions

Foundational Skills:

  • Strong experience on Oracle PL/SQL and UNIX Shell scripting
  • Dev + Support experience on Informatica 10.X versions
  • Comprehensive understanding and working knowledge of Data Modeling, Data Warehouse concepts
  • Hands on experience in handling daily batch process, failures and performance issues
  • Strong analytical skills with a natural ability to research and resolve complex systems, applications and user issues
  • Flexibility to work in a shift environment (no night shifts)
  • Ability to multi-task and adapt quickly to changes in priorities
  • Excellent spoken and written English and clear oral communication skills
