Administration Assistant, Global Corporate and Investment Banking, Amsterdam

Job Description:

Bank of America in Amsterdam is looking for an Administration Assistant to join the Global Corporate and Investment Banking team to support our senior Managing Director and Investment Banking team, the opportunity is to work alongside 2 other colleagues to provide critical administration support to this fast paced, client facing, high profile group. The main day-to-day tasks include diary management, travel arrangements, processing expenses  and management of day to day office tasks. The Assistants liaise on daily basis with the other regional offices in Europe, APAC and the US and the office is also frequently visited by other senior Bankers across the region.


Responsibilities:

  • Providing all aspects of administrative assistance to the GCIB team, including full diary management
  • Booking and making all necessary arrangements for business travel and processing the subsequent expenses claims
  • Organising external client and internal meetings, and -calls, etc.
  • Organising client dinners and events
  • Point of contact for team and visitors from other countries or regions

We’re looking for:

  • Someone who would like to work between 32-40hr per week
  • Team Player – role requires interaction with partners across lines of businesses and regions
  • Ability to manage multiple and changing priorities at short notices
  • Must be pro-active, diligent and be confident in making decisions
  • Polite and professional attitude
  • Offer discretion and maintain confidentiality at all times
  • Capable to work efficiently in a pressurised environment

Skills we look for:

  • Time management skills
  • Fluency in both Dutch and English (written and spoken)
  • Computer skills including Word, MS Outlook, Excel and PowerPoint
  • Flexibility of approach including willingness to work overtime if required
  • Proactive style and ability to work without supervision
  • Excellent communication skills – able to communicate well at all levels under time pressure
  • Confidence at dealing with people of all levels both internally and externally
  • Previous experience within similar role would be an advantage
