What you can expect

Support cash settlements of derivatives trades with global clients, majority based in Asia. Main point of contact with clients for settlement related queries. Products covered include CDS, IRS, FX, FX Options, Asset Swap, Currencies Swap, NDF, etc.

Singapore Derivatives Settlement team is currently looking for an associate for its FICC Settlement Team.  The candidate will be responsible for derivatives cash settlement processes for various FICC portfolios and cross trained to handle multiple asset classes (FX, IRS, CDS etc.) we support.  The candidate is also expected to actively participate in other duties including user acceptance testing (UAT) related to Derivatives Settlement processes in the Asia-Pacific region.

This is a highly challenging role which provides an opportunity to work in a dynamic and diverse team, and learning end to end derivatives settlement processes.
 

What you will do

- Liaise with clients on trade settlement issues including pre-settlement confirmations and exchanging of SSI
- Resolution of trade discrepancies with trade control, clients and front office
- Ensure accurate, timely and complete daily settlement of trades
- Resolution of settlement breaks
- Drive process improvement initiatives with internal stakeholders within/across regions
- Participate in internal controls, audit and regulatory related tasks/projects
- Month-end balance sheet accounts review
- Participate in technology enhancement initiatives & testing, where applicable
- Management reporting
