Job Description:

Enterprise Complaints Reporting & Analytics organization is looking for a versatile and seasoned Agile Scrum Master with solid experience in the SAFe methodology. Should be able to foster team collaboration and build a cohesive working culture following the organizational guidelines. In addition, making the software development process more efficient through utilizing modern software development processes and principles. (CI/CD, QA automation, automated code analysis, etc). The Agile Scrum Master is responsible for end-to-end management and delivery of a material change for a project of high complexity across multiple departments within a single business unit.

The Scrum Master facilitates the Agile methodology and activities, manages, leads and directs the work efforts of resources that are functionally aligned as part of the project team. Responsible for optimizing the flow of stories and the value delivered by one or more Scrum teams. Coordinates and facilitates Scrum ceremonies, managing dependencies for the team, providing visibility into team delivery plans and progress, enabling continuous improvement within the team. Ensures the impediments are resolved quickly, the team follows their agreed-to processes, and that there is a good relationship between the Product Owner and the development team. Acts as an Agile Coach, promoting and coaching the Agile mindset and principles, empowering the team to become self-managing and fulfill their cross-functional potential. Guides and coaches one or more teams on Scrum practices, and develops their understanding of Agile principles. Facilitates Scrum ceremonies i.e. Sprint Planning, Daily Scrum, Backlog Refinement, Sprint Demos/Reviews, and Sprint Retrospectives. In a Scaled Agile model, facilitates scaled planning for the team - e.g. Pre Planning/ Preparation, PI Planning Events. Helps the team define norms/agreements, like a Definition of Ready and Definition of Done, and enforces the agreements. Ensures the team has a healthy product and Sprint backlog (in collaboration with the PO). Facilitates dependency management/risk management/impediment removal for the team. Promotes/facilitates communication and collaboration within the Agile team to support value delivery and Sprint commitments. Provides visibility into the Agile teams delivery plans and progress against plan to stakeholders. Enables the team to become high performing through collaboration and a relentless focus on continuous improvement including cross-skilling across the team. Measures team delivery, maturity, and performance and reviews the metrics with the team to identify improvement opportunities.  Individual Contributor

Required:

  • Prior experience managing Data Science teams
  • Knowledge of statistical methodologies including multivariate regression, Bayesian statistics, categorization methods, time series, survival analysis etc.
  • Engage with domain experts to define requirements for data science solutions, define and develop alternative approaches, training data creation and curation, model creation, documentation and validation, partner with the Science Scale and Data Asset teams to deploy these models globally across different crops
  • Create and execute a multiyear program targeted at bringing advanced analytics to enhance decisions in the customer space
  • This role ensures the impediments are resolved quickly, the team follows their agreed-to processes, and that there is a good relationship between the Product Owner and the development team
  • Key responsibilities include coordinating and facilitating meetings, managing dependencies for the team, providing visibility into team delivery plans and progress, enabling continuous improvement within the team
  • Promotes and coaches the Agile mindset and principles, empowering the team to become self-managing and fulfill their cross-functional potential
  • Ensures team adherence to best practices as defined by Data Science Center of Excellence, including but not limited to agile/scrum, phased project advancements, code documentation and review, information security, intellectual property documentation
  • Guides and Coaches both the Scrum Team and the Development team on how to get the most out of self-organization
  • Stays on the cutting edge of technology in the space of new ML/AI methodologies running in the cloud and edge computing, data and software engineering and their applicability to the customer analytics space
