Job Description:

Senior network engineer and SME with a minimum of 5 years broad experience across SDWAN, Switching and WiFi networks. Designing and recommending engineering changes to all our 5,500 branch and enterprise locations. Our access network uses Palo Alto/Cloudgenix, Cisco and Aruba products.


Required Minimum Qualifications:

  • Current experience in WiFi Network design and engineering principles.

  • Current experience in SDWAN design and engineering principles. 

  • Current experience in layer-3 Switched Network design and engineering principles.

  • Understanding and/or experience with WAN Technologies – MPLS-E, MetroE, Leased Line, Broadband, Direct Internet Access (DIA), LTE.

  • Experience in a large enterprise environment designing and engineering solutions for several thousand network resources.


Desired Skills:

  • Current experience with Aruba 8.x/10.x aOS and mobility controllers including Airwave, Central in cloud and/or Central on Prem management platforms.

  • Current experience with Cloudgenix (PaloAlto) iON3K, iON9K and associated support systems and operating systems or similar platforms.

  • Experience in troubleshooting of complex network outages to aid our network operations teams as needed in the edge access network domain wireless/switch/router and its dependent systems.

  • Experience with security design principles utilizing RADIUS/TACACS AAA products including either Aruba ClearPass and/or Cisco ISE.

  • Ability to read a sniffer trace and use network analyzer tools.

  • Functional understanding of network Layer 2/3 switching and routing protocols.

  • Tunneling protocols – SSL/TLS, IPSEC, GRE, DMVPN.

  • IP Routing – BGP, OSPF, NAT, Static.

  • Network Resiliency – HA, local and regional failover, backups.

  • Network Security – 802.1x, EAP-PEAP, EAP-TLS, WPA2-AES, IPS/IDS, Firewalls, Policy Based Access.

  • TCPIP Protocols and IP addressing, subnet DHCP profiles and options.

  • Intermediate familiarity with Splunk.

  • Strong communication and presentation skills.
