Access Networks Senior Engineer - AAA/Access Networks - Core Technology Infrastructure

Job Description:

Senior engineer and SME for an HPE(Aruba) based wireless network, Cloudgenix based SDWAN network, Aruba and Cisco AAA authentication supporting all of BOA's 5,000 branch as well as our enterprise locations.
Responsible for continuous service improvement of this environment, both in terms of performance for the end users, and reduction in cost of support via automation.

Required Skills:

  • Experience in WiFi network design principles particularly HPE(Aruba)’s most current products including enterprise controller based architecture and their Central management product and related toolsets.

  • Experience in SD-WAN design principles utilizing Cloudgenix iON products. 

  • Experience with security design principles utilizing RADIUS/TACACS AAA products including Aruba ClearPass and Cisco ISE.

  • Hands on experience with at least one of the leading SD-WAN products (Viptela, Versa, Cloudgenix, etc.) doing solution design.

  • Hands on experience with at least one of the leading WiFi network products (Aruba, Cisco,  etc.) doing solution engineering design.

  • Hands on experience with at least one of the leading AAA (Aruba/Cisco) products doing solution engineering design.

  • WiFi Technologies – Controllers, Access Points, Management Platforms, Configuration Orchestrator, RTLS

  • Aruba Wireless product suite including Airwave, Mobility Masters and Aruba Central

  • Aruba wireless design and architecture

  • WAN Technologies – MPLS-E, MetroE, Leased Line, Broadband, Direct Internet Access

  • Cloudgenix (PaloAlto) iON3K, iON9K and associated support systems and operating systems.

  • Ability to read a sniffer trace and use network analyzer tools

  • Functional understanding of network Layer 2/3 switching and routing protocols

  • Tunneling protocols –  SSL/TLS, IPSEC, GRE, DMVPN

  • IP Routing – BGP, OSPF, NAT, Static

  • Network Resiliency – HA, local and regional failover, backups

  • Network Security – 802.1x, EAP-PEAP, EAP-TLS, WPA2-AES, IPS/IDS, Firewalls, Policy Based Access

  • TCPIP Protocols and IP addressing, subnet administrating, DHCP profiles and options

  • Troubleshooting of complex network outages in the edge access network domain wireless/switch/router/wan and AAA, DNS

Desired Skills:

  • Ansible, Phantom or other SOAR orchestration products 

  • Data modeling - YAML and JSON

  • Scripting – Python

  • Intermediate familiarity with Splunk
