  • Manages a team of 12-15 frontline Credit Reporting Disputes associates

  • Responsible for work volume pipeline management, team quality, performance management, Issue Management and Credit Reporting project related tasks

  • Responsible for developing team members and presenting material to senior leadership and control partners

  • Leads projects to support key initiatives.

Job Posting Description:

This first-level operations management position, reporting to the Operations Manager, oversees a unit/section of the company’s internal operations activities. May manage multiple functions within an area and may have Team Leads reporting to them. Key responsibilities include supervision of associates in their day-to-day functions of resolving problems and executing transactions within specific operations units requiring immediate and frequent involvement with unit activities. Other key responsibilities will include motivating, coaching and developing associates to achieve optimal performance results. Performs all managerial functions, leads project work, and continually utilizes independent judgment. Less than 50% of time is spent doing actual production work. Typically 3-5 years of Operations experience. Must have 2 or more direct reports.

Required Skills:

  • Previous management or leadership experience providing feedback, developing and coaching associates

  • 2 or more years of related credit reporting, or relevant work experience

  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills

  • Comfortable interacting with Senior management, Furnishing/Disputes teams, Business Control partners, external FLU partners, and Consumer Reporting Agencies.

  • Knowledge of Credit Reporting Operations

  • Knowledge of the credit reporting disputes process

  • Knowledge of the Fair Credit Reporting Act

  • Proven ability to self-manage and meet service-level-agreement dates

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office suite of products, with emphasis on beginning Excel and PowerPoint

  • Highly organized, detail oriented, proactive, and able to multitask

Desired Skills:

  • Mortgage and Card servicing background

  • TSYS, MSP or DALS system knowledge

  • Debt Manager system knowledge

  • Knowledge of the Credit Reporting Resource Guide Metro 2 Format
