Project Manager/Business Analyst II - Tech Delivery

Job Description:

Responsible for planning and delivery management of cross-functional programs and projects. Key responsibilities include driving successful execution at all stages of project from initiation through all phases of technology delivery while managing risks, ensuring compliance to standards, and providing end-to-end visibility into the health of the project. Ensure end results meet the business expectations in terms of functionality, quality, timeliness and budget.  Work with technology leads to ensure solution aligns to technology strategy and roadmap.

Responsible for capturing and refining business and/or system requirements (based on specialization). Works with stakeholders to understand their needs, analyze problems, and capture their requirements, and then working closely with the Development Team to refine the requirement into specifications that can be executed by the team. Possess a working knowledge of the business and/or technical domain based on their specialization. Leverages experience and understanding of stakeholder needs to help create a solution, envisions the solution to solve a problem (manual or through software). Performs Cost/Benefit Analysis to align the technology to business strategy. Gathers & catalogs functional, non-functional, and technical requirements for stakeholder requests. Determines the impact of modifications and enhancements on the application. Acts as the product(s) subject matter expert to support scope and requirement decisions. Ensures changes to the application are compliant with bank standards and policies. Assists users and development team with application testing and troubleshooting, and may help configure test solutions to validate functional and system needs. Identifies, document and troubleshoot application related problems. Documents process, procedures and workflows associated with applications. Leads or participate in continuous improvement efforts; Building expertise in creating, analyzing, and improving processes. Creates, maintains and presents training materials for end-users. Individual contributor.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Work with business, ops and technology stakeholders to vet and develop business case for projects and change requests
  • Drive activities to define project scope, success metrics, resource requirements and expected deliverables
  • Plan and manage delivery and dependencies across multiple line of business and technology teams
  • Manage all communications to key stakeholders and leadership pertaining to delivery status, risks and issues

Required Skills:

  • 7-10+ years of experience working as project manager and business analyst on technical programs and projects
  • Able to translate and communicate complex concepts and ideas to drive clarity and decision making
  • Experience documenting and translating business requirements into functional and technical requirements
  • Experience as a data analyst and core data management processes and requirements (metadata, validations, reconciliations and controls)
  • Excellent oral and written presentation skills
  • Excellent problem solving skills and ability to work with a team and independently
  • Able to work in virtual environment
  • Advanced/Expert skills with PowerPoint, Excel, Visio

Desired Skills:

  • In-depth knowledge of and experience delivering global markets, compliance/AML and regulatory projects
  • Background working with a broad range of professionals at varying levels and functions
  • Demonstrated leadership and client relationship skills
  • Strong professional work ethic, flexible, reliable, can work individually or within a team
