EMEA Asset Services are part of a Global Asset Servicing team responsible for managing dividend, coupon and corporate action events relating to equity and fixed income products. The London team process voluntary corporate action elections which can be very high value and provide a client service function to the businesses we support.


This role requires a keen problem solver with a good eye for attention to detail, who works well to deadlines and is risk aware. The nature of the role exposes candidates to large parts of the firm including multiple lines of business, operations and technology.


 

Responsibilities will include but not limited to:

  • Interpreting voluntary corporate action events and reviewing our positions to identify any areas of risk which need escalating.

  • Collating corporate action instructions from trading desks, prime broker clients and stock lenders. Ensuring these elections are passed to our agent banks prior to deadline and confirmed, so there is no risk to the bank.

  • Liaising with various parts of the firm such as settlements, reconciliations, prime brokerage and our swap and stock loan desks to manage each event.

  • Client Service – providing high quality responses within a tight timeframe to our direct contact prime broker clients as well as account managers, SWAPS and other trading desks.

  • Communicating with our agent banks to clarify the terms of events and issues with payment.

  • Good problem solving and analytical skills, with an understanding of risk and escalation.

  • Displays a high attention to detail and demonstrates ability to meet deadlines whilst working as part of a team.

  • Prioritisation: ability to prioritise heavy workloads and work efficiently under pressure.
