Team Lead - Apps Dev Prog - ETL

Job Description:

* Hands on ETL, DataStage and Hadoop specialist to collaborate with business partners, project & initiatives teams and support systems through maintenance,
* Provide Incident and root cause identification of batch related issues

• Serve as a Subject Matter Expert and provide technical direction for problems, issues resolution and crisis management.
• Ensure Systems and applications meet/exceed performance, fault tolerance and availability metrics.
• Assess and suggest process improvements, enhancements and performance improvements
• Oversee and maintain documentation of the issues and knowledge of production applications, systems and processes.
• 6 + years of application programming and IT operations support experience with SQL and ETL processes
• Must have excellent organization skills, Written and Verbal skills
• Able to communicate effectively across varied areas including technology, business units and senior leadership
• Able to work on multiple projects/tasks concurrently and work a flexible schedule when needed
• Must be able to handle multiple tasks and adapt to a constantly changing environment
• Able to identify risk and issues and recommend appropriate mitigation plans
• Able to deal with changing priorities, work under pressure, manage competing priorities and work independently with minimal oversight

• Languages: COBOL, JCL, CICS, SQL

Responsible for team level contributions to overall application development efforts within portfolio application(s); These application program solutions may involve diverse development platforms, software, hardware, technologies and tools. Provides technical direction and oversight on creation of applications from E2E (end to end) perspective. Ensuring systems design, business requirements, and architecture of solution is well understood by involved parties and responsible for overall delivery of software products. Manages applications/ development projects, or complex initiatives of an area of the development function. Responsible for instructing, directing, and reviewing the work of other associates, contractors, and strategic partner resources that are part of their team. May provide input on performance management and personnel decisions. As appropriate, contributes to budget and forecast activities, monitors team progress, and works with Team Manager to adjust resource allocations and priorities accordingly
