Job Title: Production Services Lead

Location: Chester

Here in our Chester office we are looking to recruit for a Production Service Lead within the Command Centre. The expansion of the Global Resiliency Program team and centralization of functionality under the Command Centre will allow for standardization of our response to events that threaten our technology, including geo-dispersed data centres, ensuring our ability to maintain operational effectiveness and regulatory compliance. Candidate will contribute to the evolution of the Resiliency Program by performing and coordinating regular triage simulation exercises to enrich Command Centre’s response readiness and sustain operational excellence. Candidate will support efforts around strategy, scope and planning for enterprise-wide resiliency testing, including business continuity, crisis management, disaster recovery, and business resiliency capability maturity and compliance assessments and testing.
 

Responsibilities will include but not limited to:

  • Responsible for providing vision and execution to modernize firm-wide resiliency exercise events

  • Act as the focal point for executing and supporting testing paradigms (e.g. data centres, production services, and risk and security)

  • Experience in testing and program management within technology, operations or business

  • Reasonable depth of exposure/understanding of Business Continuity Management processes and best practices

  • In-depth understanding of Operational risk and resilience, Business Process improvement methods as well as risk related control frameworks and practices

  • Experience in oversight and leading preparation and development of execution plans for Resiliency Exercises (i.e., Data Center Isolation Planning, Security Threat Response, etc.)

  • Coordination of enterprise resiliency, isolation and disaster preparedness testing consistent to meet emerging business and regulatory requirements

  • Lead key Operations and LOB SMEs through planning sessions towards agreed-upon objectives in a manner that encourages participation, ownership and a shared vision

  • Demonstrate ability to lead and execute on cross-organization initiatives

  • Support end-to-end core program planning process and resiliency exercise execution

  • Produce Resiliency Exercise Overview detailing Scope and Plan, milestones and deliverables

  • Coordinate testing to measure readiness to invocation vs a check the box scenario

  • Understand and report on the status and capability of resiliency testing, highlighting exposures, gaps, audit exceptions, and gap remediation progress

  • Document findings and support in the identification, discussion and documentation of potential risk/watch items and lessons learned

  • Support development and delivery of resiliency testing program

  • Change and Problem Management Skills: Ability to adequately identify and document root cause and any follow up activities needed to mitigate re-occurrence; documented as needed in Remedy SOR

The Team:

The CTO Command Centres are accountable for the availability and performance of Bank of America’s global technology services. The primary mission of the Command Center is to enable operational excellence through the detection, prediction and prevention of customer and business impacting incidents and to restore service as quickly as possible when disruptions occur.

Bank of America has three primary Command Centres, supporting one of the largest technology footprints in the world they are located in Singapore, Richmond USA and Chester UK. Comprised of Command & Control, Infrastructure IT Operations Mgmt & Network Operations they serve the business all day, every day.

The Command & Control function is the heart of the Command Centre, responding to incidents in real-time as they are escalated in. They are ultimately responsible in ensuring that technology incidents are restored in the shortest amount of time and communicated/escalated appropriately.

Core Skills:

  • Prior experience in similar role within financial services industry

  • Diverse technical experience in applicable Testing environment

  • Extensive experience in Disaster Recovery (DR) Testing – leading initiatives

  • Extensive years of technology resiliency experience

  • Understanding of Technology risk & controls policies and processes and the ability to quickly identify areas of weakness

  • Professional level of etiquette in high pressure situations

  • Proven success building internal and external relationships with business partners

  • Enthusiasm for work supporting resilience and mitigation

  • High level of written and verbal communication skills

  • Ability to work in a team environment
