Acquiring Payments Compliance - Product Consultant

Job Description:

Responsibilities include, but not limited to:

  • Provide subject matter expertise related to the interpretation of Payment and Debit Network rules and regulations with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Build strong relationships with the Payment and Debit networks leading to the ability advocate for waivers and leniency for rule violations. Also, serve as an escalation point with the networks for compliance related matters.
  • Manage Acquiring Payment and Debit Network Compliance Monitoring Programs 
  • Engage with cross-functional stakeholders and merchant clients to lead remediation of compliance violations.
  • Support data analysis and research Payment Network violations and identify root causes of compliance and brand risk violations
  • Lead analysis of proposed rule changes and work with cross-functional stakeholders to communicate required changes
  • Lead monitoring and reporting of compliance performance metrics

Skills and Experience Required:

  • 3+ years industry related Risk and Compliance experience, preferably related to Payment and Debit Network Rules and Regulations
  • Knowledge of the Acquiring related Payment and Debit Network rules and regulations
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business or other industry related-field or equivalent experience preferred
  • Demonstrated strong research and data analysis competency
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to multi-task and adapt to shifting business priorities
  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to clearly communicate with and influence clients as well as the Payment and Debit Networks
  • Attention to detail, combined with excellent organizational skills
  • Prior experience with metric monitoring and governance reporting
  • Ability to think creatively and identify out of the box solutions while balancing business priorities and risks

Preferred Education, Experience:

  • 5+ years’ experience managing Acquiring Payment and Debit Network Compliance
  • Advanced degree in business or other industry related field, preferred
  • Advanced Excel, PowerPoint and Visio skills
