Location: Ar Riyadh

Merrill Lynch Kingdom of Saudi Arabia (MLKSA) commenced operations in Riyadh in late 2008 under a CMA license permitting global wealth management and investment banking advisory activity.  During 2010 MLKSA will be looking to expand its activities to include underwriting and equity brokerage as well as expanding the size of its investment banking advisory team. Role responsibilities include:

  • Provides client facing solutions on both asset and liability side.
  • Manages daily risks and tasks within the team.
  • Provides clients with optimal solutions to manage market exposure and trade profitability. Works closely with other departments including distribution and research.

Main daily tasks includes but are not limited to:

  • Execute client order
  • Pricing/Quoting for clients
  • Manage risk for client requests
  • Actively work with sales to make sure the franchise has access to the right price and information for the client
  • Cover trading books when required
  • Prepare presentations and back up support for corporate clients presentation and internal reports
  • Assisting in the pricing and hedging of new transactions
  • Required to identify and implement controlled streamlining of operational processes
  • Developing a close working relationship with the rest of the trading floor, Treasury and Finance

Core Skills

  • Strong mathematical and quantitative skills are required

  • Advanced level of  Excel to VBA level, MS Access and Bloomberg

  • Market risk knowledge

  • Understanding of financing activities within a global investment banking organisation

  • Demonstrate  ability to identify issues, evaluate large sets of data and generate ideas of the back off this analysis

  • Meticulous attention to detail, diligence and conscientiousness

  • Strong interpersonal communication skills

  • Capable of working effectively both independently and with multiple teams/individuals

  • Master/Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent level of experience
