Job Title: AVP - Derivative & FX Operations Balance and Account Management

Here in our Chester office, we are currently offering a dedicated individual the opportunity to join the Derivative & FX Ops Balance & Account Management team. You will join a team where you will focus on developing and improving processes undertaken by the team. This is an excellent opportunity for a highly motivated individual to be part of the continued growth of our business. As part of the team, you will be able to apply critical thinking and an investigative mind set to investigate and remediate balance management issues. This is a role which offers a high level of visibility as you will work in conjunction with a number of other internal teams to provide seamless delivery and support to a range of stakeholders.
 

Responsibilities will include but not limited to:

  • Contribute towards the build out of a global balance management process

  • Answer balance management queries received from the Front Office in a timely manner

  • Introduce and actively monitor currency buffers where required

  • Liaison and escalation of issues to Management

  • Complete nostro balance analysis

  • Coordinate the management of large intraday fails engaging the appropriate teams

  • Act as a conduit between FO and Operations regarding Balance & Account management queries/issues

  • Production of Risk Indicators and other management information

  • Active involvement in the bank account maintenance process

  • Create and maintain video procedures

  • Work as part of a global team

  • Active involvement in strategic initiatives

  • Challenge the status quo in terms of the teams processes and generate ideas to improve

Core Skills:

  • Analytical skills including data reconciliation and interpretation

  • Excellent organizational skills - ability to switch between tasks and to prioritize work effectively 

  • Solid communication skills - Ability to run effective meetings and engage knowledgably and confidently with different stakeholders across the organization, building strong relationships with both Internal and External clients

  • Ability to learn and develop in a fast paced, high volume environment 

  • Logical approach to problem solving and a hunger for process improvement

  • Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.

  • Be competent with MS Office products: Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook

  • Thrives in a team – based environment – working toward common goals

  • Good sense of judgment, knows when to escalate and how to Senior Management expectations
