About the Role

The Associate,Treasury Sales Officer based in Sydney, Australia, will be a critical role focussed on the Global Commecial Banking clients of GTS requiring services in Australia. This will include both resident and non-resident clients.  The person will be instrumental in expanding Bank of America’s reach and market penetration in this cash management and trade space.

The Associate, Treasury Sales Officer will:  

  • Build out the GCB client portfolio in line with the bank’s strategy

  • Manage and grow revenues from existing clients

  • Partner closely with GCB Bankers, Regional and Global GTS Colleagues and other business partners (as appropriate) to consult on sales opportunities and provide the product expertise and consultation necessary to deliver the best possible Treasury and Trade solutions to the client in-country or regionally.

  • Pitch alongside with GCB Bankers’ as specialist on treasury, trade and liquidity products. 

  • Identify client’s needs and work closely with internal partners (Product Management, Client Delivery, Services and Operations) to structure adequate solutions

  • Manage and support RFP processes as relates to specialist products (Deal Review, Pricing, RFP response coordination).

  • Ensure timely resolution of GTS relationship sensitive client servicing issues within the organization

  • Proactively identify new prospect targets by using the available tools and internal/external resource sites. Assist in corresponding with prospects, providing marketing and sales collateral and preparing for client calls. Ensure activities and progress is tracked, and follow up on prospecting activities as appropriate

Key Skills and Experience

  • At least 10+ years of relevant banking experience

  • Good working knowledge of and exposure to the GCB segment in a sales related role

  • Good working knowledge and exposure to Cash Management and Trade products and services

  •  Demonstrated track record in developing and maintaining collaborative working relationships

  • Demontrated track record of business development in a sales related role

  • Experience working with clients at a senior level (CFO/Treasurer/ Finance Director)

  • Strong financial skills

  • Excellent written and oral communication skills

  • Strong presentation skills

  • Strong interpersonal and organizational skills

  • Bachelors Degree required
