Responsibilities:

This position is responsible for providing technical leadership and direction for the usage of SWIFT technologies within the Bank, and provide oversight to junior team members. Manage the installation, configuration, testing and support of the SWIFT footprint in the lower level environment, including software releases from SWIFT. In addition, handle evaluation of new products/services from SWIFT and support the evolution of the Bank’s SWIFT footprint. This role is an individual contributor role within the team.

SWIFT is a global member-owned cooperative and the world’s leading provider of secure financial messaging services.  SWIFT’s ~11K users in 200+ countries and territories send more than 7B messages per year. Bank of America uses SWIFT to send and receive information to other financial institutions worldwide in a secure, standardized and reliable environment.  Over 90 Trillion USD per month is transferred by Bank of America through the SWIFT channel.

The SWIFT Development Team in the Bank has a strong need for an experienced expert who is knowledgeable in SWIFT related technologies such as SWIFT Alliance Access, SWIFT Alliance Gateway and Alliance Messaging Hub.

Required Skills:

  • 5-10+ years in Technology industry – preferably with a large global bank, or SWIFT
  • Hands-on experience in installing patches, maintaining, troubleshoot and testing SWIFT products: SWIFT Alliance Gateway, SWIFT Alliance Access, SWIFT Web Platform, SWIFT Net Link
  • Able to demonstrate a knowledge of SWIFT messaging formats (MT and ISO20022)
  • Demonstrated experience in SWIFT protocols
  • Strong communication skills: written, verbal, visual presentations, and effective listening skills
  • Excellent interpersonal and relationship-building skills with the ability to communicate effectively with senior managers
  • Ability and desire to think creatively to deliver business results both independently and as part of a team
  • Ability to influence others

Desired Skills:

  • Experience in Alliance Messaging Hub is a plus
  • Good understanding of the SDLC lifecycle
  • Experience with SWIFT Hardware Security Modules
