Credit Analyst- Global Sustainable Finance

Global Markets Credit ("GMC") is responsible for ensuring robust and consistent credit underwriting for Global Markets lending activities.  Within GMC the Analyst will be expected to develop strong subject matter expertise in various aspects of sustainable finance lending and investing and will work closely with banking and risk partners.  

  • Provide Global Markets Credit coverage of the tax equity, equity linked and debt portfolios within the Global Sustainable Finance Group ("GSFG") businesses for US and EMEA 

  • Support the GSFG business in reviewing transaction structures, stress scenarios, terms and conditions 

  • Provide support to the transaction underwriting, funding, modifications and annual review processes

  • Coordinate review and approvals with GCIB Wholesale Credit Officers for recourse obligors, Enterprise Credit Risk and Global Markets Risk  

  • Provide input into internal governance forums, audits and regulatory meetings 

  • Assist in development of white papers for new sectors/technologies/business models and products

  • Coordinate periodic and/or adhoc reporting such as quarterly portfolio reviews 

  • Provide GMC input into key projects/initiatives 

Requirements:

  • BA/BS degree required; Finance or Accounting majors preferred

  • 1+ years of experience in financial services. Relevant prior experience may include roles in: credit risk management, structuring, trading, asset management, origination, rating agencies  

  • involving energy or power

  • Passion for renewable mission, motivation and desire to research and understand new technologies and business structures       

  • Strong knowledge or capacity to learn the bank's credit processes and systems

  • Ability to establish partnerships across the organization with GSFG, Enterprise Credit Risk and other support partners

  • Strong organizational, oral, and written communication skills

  • Proficiency with Bloomberg, Word, Excel and PowerPoint

  • Willingness/desire to improve and/or streamline processes
