Here in our London office we are looking to recruit for Europe Regulatory Reporting Production Chief. Reporting into the Head of UK Regulatory Reporting, this role will be responsible for day-to-day oversight of production of financial based regulatory reporting to the European primary regulators including the ACPR and PRA for BofASE and MLI legal entities, respectively.

Responsibilities will include but not limited to:

  • This role aligns to the European Regulatory Reporting (ERR) Team within the CFO Global Financial Control (GFC) department

  • Primary responsibility is for day-to-day oversight of production of financial based regulatory reporting to the European primary regulators including the ACPR and PRA for BofASE and MLI legal entities, respectively

  • The role requires an experienced leader with knowledge of finance processes and European regulatory rules to lead the BAU business process, perform review and challenge activities, resolve day-to-day production issues, and drive continuous process improvement through the end to end production routines

  • This person will be the production chief across these entities’ prudential reporting requirements and reports. They will be expected to partner with the rest of the ERR management team leading other entity-specific report production

  • Ensures timely and accurate production of CoRep, as well as daily, monthly, quarterly reporting needed for compliance and business monitoring of capital calculations

  • Ensures controls framework and governance of regulatory reports to internal and external stakeholders

The Team:

This Role is leading a local team in London and leveraging resources across the extended European Regulatory Reporting team located in India. The position is a key part of ERR, London and EMEA CFO team and be a core part of the ERR Management team who comprise the Europe country heads (UK, France, Ireland) and project lead for the team of c. 60 people in 4 locations. Interaction will be across whole of EMEA CFO Group and frequent interaction with CFOs of other EMEA entities, as well as Front Office, Risk partners and Technology. A separate GFC Change team is located in London and heavily dedicated to the ongoing development of the regulatory reporting teams’ capabilities for which this role will benefit and heavily interact with.

Core Skills:

  • 10-15 years of experience within the financial services or banking industry

  • Excellent understanding of finance processes including governance and controls

  • European regulatory rules expertise

  • Ability to work with and across a large team in multiple locations

  • Proven organizational, motivational leadership and management skills

  • Process improvement mindset; drive use of emerging technologies solutions where appropriate

  • Qualified accountant or qualified by experience for role

  • People Leadership – visible and impactful leadership style, effectively managing/leading and multi-tasking across multiple teams and locations

  • Partnering – ability to partner collaboratively and constructively with technology, business, and other line functions

  • Communication – ability to communicate very effectively, including written, verbal and listening skills
