Responsible for the oversight and proactive management of Historic and New Market Tax Credit investments from investment closing through the compliance period, including final disposition of the assets. 

Responsibilities include:

  • Identifying, classifying, quantifying and mitigating risk

  • Monitor the construction and lease-up (Development Phase) of the investment  through Conversion and Stabilization

  • Conduct site visits according to risk classification and Bank policy

  • Prepare semi-annual Watched Asset reports and present reports during Watched Asset meetings

  • Prepare Annual Reviews and for Stabilized Assets analyzing Losses, Credits, Cash Flow and Developer Fees

  • Prepare updated investment return assumption forms, as well as, forecast possible investment impairments.

  • Analyze and negotiate all Capital Transactions such as refinancing and dispositions of Assets

  • Analyze, negotiate and work with Counsel on Agreement Amendments and/or Loan Documents, in the case of NMTC’s

  • Analyze and negotiate waivers, as needed

  • Work with General Partners, Managing Members or Borrowers (and Counsle/Consultants if necesary) on any Compliance and Operational issues

  • Review and analyze K-1s, Tax Returns and Audits, as per Bank policy and procedures

  • Prepare stay/leave analysis, as necessary

  • Work with Wholesale Credit Administration Assistants  to maintain accurate data in CARMA (database system) and EDR (Electronic Document Repository)

  • Maintain strong relationships with General Partner/Managing Member or Borrower clients and deliver first-class service

  • Ability to work and communicate with multiple Bank divisions and  with internal partners, as appropriate

Required Skills:

  • BA / BS

  • Minimum 10 years Asset Management experience with a strong understanding of the HTC and NMTC regulatory requirements

  • Strong analytical, problem solving and communication skills

  • Strong understanding of capital accounts

  • Ability to work as a Team player

Preferred Skills:

  • Experience in negotiating end of life of Assets

  • Experience in workouts
