Application Control Specialist is responsible for completing and tracking compliance deliverables to ensure applications adhere to applicable policies and standards as well as local laws, rules, and regulations (LRR). Key responsibilities include completing administrative and non-technical tasks related to compliance deliverables and infrastructure requests for the applications they support. They support vendors, development teams, and Technology Managers to ensure technical security, risk, and other compliance activities are completed on-time and per requirements. These individuals partner closely with control functions, risk management, and GIS and are familiar with the applicable policies, standards, LRRs, contacts and procedures so that the compliance deliverables are completed effectively and efficiently. The Application Control Specialist is an individual contributor working with multiple teams at the team or program level.-
Ensure that risk, security, and other compliance deliverables are completed on-time and per requirements for the applications they support
Complete administrative and non-technical tasks related to compliance deliverables –e.g. access reviews, assessments, questionnaires, procedural requirements, etc.
Assist with audit exams and risk assessments for the applications
Track and support the technical security and risk activities performed by the development teams –e.g. remediation of NPT or security vulnerabilities, technical recovery planning, disaster recovery exercises, etc.
Maintain data about the application in AppHQ and other systems of record
For vendor applications, work closely with the vendor to ensure the application meets bank requirements
Assist with ad hoc inquiries and questions about the application
Interface with technology infrastructure teams for infrastructure requirements like requests for additional storage
High level Understanding of cloud computing architecture Including but not limited to AWS and Azure
High level understanding of cyber security especially in cloud computing platforms
Excellent communication skills: written, oral and presentation to different types of audiences.
Agile ToT coordinator aka release train engineer , High level understanding of BAC Enterprise Change Standards.
Jira is highly preferred.
Domain Knowledge in GT&O.
Existing experience with the Bank of America Change Management Framework, ChangeScape, PPRT, OneNote, SharePoint and FileNet is desired but not required.
Ability to build relationships across the enterprise with Lines of Businesses, Technology, and Business where relevant.
Takes ownership of day to day issues and escalations and brings issues to resolution.
Experience in working in large global complex matrix organizations.
Facilitate communication and improve transparency, remove impediments the team will encounter.
Encourage discussion, conflict resolution, alternatives or different approaches.
Help mitigate distractions and increase the team's focus.
Be an active part of the Scrum Master community within company and participate in continuous improvement within this discipline.
Liaise with project stakeholders on an ongoing basis.
Review and confirm the appropriate resources and participants needed to achieve project goals are assigned.
