Senior Operations Consultant - QA Oversight

Job Description:

Responsible for the day-to-day resolution of complex problems and the execution of complex transactions for multiple sites or larger business unit(s), including research. Leads in the design, development and implementation of complex products, systems and services in an operations environment. Manages projects and direct activities of a team related to special initiatives of an operations nature. Functions as the technical expert in their assigned area. Major accountabilities are based on individual expertise and capabilities. Provides work direction, guidance and expertise to less experienced associates and provides training to associates and Business Partners on new and complex initiatives. Builds strong relationships with Business Partners across LOBs. Has in-depth understanding of the business unit's operations processes and implications on other groups within the operations function and other divisions within the company. Knowledge acquired through increasingly responsible operations analysis work. Clearly recognized as a content expert by peers. Bachelor degree or equivalent preferred. Individual typically has 5-7 years of experience.

Primary responsibility will be to facilitate CR&R QA Oversight Workgroup meetings with each individual LOB (based on QA results); currently 18 workgroups, and the CR&R QA Oversight Executive Review meeting.  Additional responsibilities include preparation of meeting materials, tracking TAR items, reviewing education and procedures changes to address defects and making recommendations to improve quality.


Required Skills:

  • Proficiency in using Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, as well as technology needed to facilitate meetings and share documents with leaders and partners (Telepresence, WebEx, SharePoint)
  • Thorough knowledge of claims processes/functions, bank policies and regulations pertaining to assigned products 
  • Proven analytical ability and organizational skills
  • Demonstrated ability to build strong partnerships with key stakeholders and partners
  • Strong interpersonal and relationship building/managing skills
  • Strong organizational and time management skills
  • Strong change management mindset, and ability to work with and communicate with all levels across the organization, leveraging advanced written, verbal and presentation skills.
  • Self-motivated and strong ability to work autonomously
  • Excellent attention to detail, self-motivated, and able to work with a high degree of independence
  • Ability to adapt to a fast paced/changing environment and be flexible to the needs of competing priorities


Desired Skills:

  • Bachelor degree or equivalent preferred.
  • 3-5 years of Claims Experience
  • Quality, Project, or Issue Management Experience
