Sr. Settlement Analyst

Job Description:

The Fixed Income, Currency and Commodities (FICC) & Derivative Core Operations (FDCO) team perform end to end trade control, confirmation and settlements processes across FICC businesses and provides utility OTC derivative confirmation and settlement services for non FICC businesses.

Within FDCO, the teams provide multiple services such as FICC trade control, Foreign Exchange (FX) electronic matching and settlement, Over the Counter (OTC) derivative confirmation and settlement, and commodities operations.

Here in our Houston office we have an exciting opportunity for a project and change control lead for Commodities Operations.  This role will work closely with Trade Control, Settlements, Confirmations, and Reporting in the Commodities business to ensure proper onboarding of new activities in our growing portfolio of businesses.  In addition, this role will work closely with other functional teams as we work on cross product initiatives across the bank. You will be expected to be an effective communicator across every level of the organization and across teams that may have competing priorities and needs.  

Responsibilities include but not limited to:
• Lead key projects for Commodities Operations to ensure proper onboarding of new business activities, and implementation of cross product initiatives.
• Build in partnership with the business, technology and operations plans to facilitate changes in the front to back workflow 
• Working with our partners in Risk and Control to demonstrate the control and workflow changes improve our risk framework.
• Managing workflow solutions across multiple business partners internal and external to operations

Core Skills: 
• Ability to lead key projects and diagnose and assess risk factors associated with key processes resulting from projects and new business activities.
• Confidence and maturity to balance judgments and defend them.
• Ability to take on additional one-off and ad hoc tasks and projects with ease.
• Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office products.
• Existing broad knowledge of FICC Products/Asset Classes
• Ability to create story boarding and workflow for current and target workflow.
